I don't believe I remember seeing such a sharp loss in spins in a single week since "Hero" by Chad Kroeger and Josey Scott after hitting #1 witnessed a major slide down the chart, and I don't know if the losses were even that big in a week.
The next biggest loss I remember recently was when "Go With The Flow" by Queens of the Stone Age went -495 one week after peaking.
Sincerely, Noah Eaton

Good! The song is horrible and I'm amazed it got as high as it did. The second single is better.

The amazing thing about it is that "Hit That" began the week looking like it would be # 1 (it even got within 5 spins of # 1). Now it will end up # 4!

It's actually -610, but yeah, that's nuts. In the other topic, I said it was probably the biggest weekly spin drop since "Bodies" in 2001.

It's now at -667. And since it didn't start losing rapidly until the Tuesday update, expect that spin loss to get even bigger tommorow.
I just don't get it. It's like a bunch of stations got together when they saw that the song was 5 spins away from #1, decided that Offspring didn't deserve to get their first #1 with this and stopped playing it.

Try -752 now. I mean, if it keeps going like this we may just as well forget about Drowning Pool as a record holder by mid-week Wednesday.
btw, was this ever a midweek #1? I wonder why this song's payola was cut off when it was. Maybe so that Columbia could get Jessica Simpson's piece of garbage to #1 on pop while she's still riding the wave.

btw, was this ever a midweek #1? Nope. As mentioned earlier, it was just 5 spins away from #1 a week ago and then started losing spins like crazy. Not really.

It sucks the song didn't get to #2 out of a fluke, it's catchy as hell, and there are no logical explanation for the sudden drop... from 5 spins from #1, they now stand nearly 800 spins away.

Mediabase is a day behind so it started dropping before the radio stations could have known it was 5 spins away from Number 1.

-772 on this morning's update. My guess is that's the worst it will get.

It fell to -777 overnight and it's back up to -759 this morning, so we have a nice, easy-to-remember number for worst normal circumstances spin loss of all time.
