It comes from the 50 First Dates Soundtrack, which if you have AIM and Real, you could listen to.
It's not terrible. I've heard worse, but it's not going to do ANYTHING on alternative. The only reason why it's doing so well in Honolulu is because the movie supposedly takes place in Hawaii.
I think Hold Me Now by Wayne Wonder is worse.

Well, The Police have always had a reggae influence, so you shouldn't be too shocked that a band of the same genre are covering them.

To me, UB40 isn't really that reggae, but I get your point. This song sounds interesting to me, I think I could probably stomache it better than their butchering of I Can't Help Falling In Love With You.
