Really hoping The 1975 can chart something this week. If not, an album bomb on the rock charts would still be nice.

The Gaga song is actually pretty nice. I donβt see it going number one but top 10 seems likely and I wouldnβt be surprised if it stuck around for a while.

Didn't have high hopes for Rain On Me after the mediocre Stupid Love but it was still pretty disappointing. Better than Stupid Love I guess.

It's just an okay song, not a great song. The hype made me think the record would be quite impressive. Vocally there's nothing mindblowing about it. But I hope Lady Gaga can get a hit out of it. I don't think a # 1 debut is in the cards for it.

Does the Gaga song have bundles? If it does, Scooter will work his magic to get it to #1.

Iβm amazed that I like this. I canβt stand Stupid Love and a collab with two of the biggest names in pop right now on paper sounds like a disaster but Gaga and Ariana have really solid chemistry and they both sound fantastic. The song doesnβt overstay its welcome, it just comes in, both of them kill it and then itβs over. I hope they promote this properly and donβt just shove out a bunch of bundles to get it to number one in its first week and then drop off, this sounds like something that will do great on the radio and will grow organically and be really popular if they let it do so.

Rain on Me is fine. The drop is a bit underwhelming but the production has a bit more character than Stupid Love, you can definitely hear BloodPop. And the lyrics are a bit more ambitious than the genericism of Stupid Love, I'm now wondering why they didn't just choose this as a lead off instead of SL.

The Gunna album deserves to flop based on the artwork alone

On first listen Rain On Me is miles better than Stupid Love (still somewhat mediocre) but on my third listen or so, it really has turned into the club banger that I think it can be.

About to listen to the new 1975 album, like their last album this will either be surprisingly good or a their worst album, no other option. P4k said while it may not be the best 1975 album it certainly is the most 1975 album and I'd have to agree but also add that when it works it truly snaps and hits typical 1975 highs, and when it is at it's worst its a drag that lacks the fun pop personality in their other work. P4k gave it an 8.0 which is great all things considered lol It's #1 on iTunes for now so I think they've bought enough goodwill with their fans at this point to let them experiment with this more chill ambient vibes that, while I'd love to do homework or go ona walk to it or something, might disappoint the fans who do not come to them for that. At least they'll have the singles and If You're Too Shy (Let Me Know) which is apparently their highest charting single in the UK to my surprise but welcome.

About to listen to the new 1975 album, like their last album this will either be surprisingly good or a their worst album, no other option. Pleased to say it's the former than the latter, though if you don't have a taste of ambient music, you will not like this album because there is a lot more ambient interludes than on previous albums. It is better than An Inquiry into Online Relationships; there are no obvious duds like TOOTIMETOOETIMETOOTIME or I Like America, it's not as pretentious as I was expecting and the electronic fusion is better integrated as well - it feels more like an electronic 1975 album than the 1975 trying to go electronic. That said, even as someone who likes ambient music, it runs loooong, and it lacks the energy and humor of their first two albums. This is all just by my first listen, my opinion may soften or harshen with a few more listens. Id say check it out and give it a listen, just with reservations and knowledge it's still not the Kid A or OK Computer that Matty Healy wants to make.
