Random question but did Circles hold every position in the top 10 at one point? So, did it have a week at 1, 2, 3 etc or was there a number it didn’t hit? yup Oh that’s cool, I wonder how many other songs have done that

In honor of Circles finally leaving the Top 10, we should stream Circles by Post Malone Or form a band name Circles, create a song called Post Malone, and have everybody stream it. Well this did come out last year

From what I can tell, it's not about to be updated until tomorrow due to the music media blackout for #TheShowMustBePaused.
(might as well mention now, Billboard BREAKDOWN is going to be postponed until I can get all the necessary data on that front).
PS: if you're participating, don't use the BlackLivesMatter hashtags, they still need those to disseminate information on the ground.

I wasn't fully aware of that, thanks for the update!

He’s had a thread in the Personal Reviews section of the site for over 6 years. I guess a lot of people here only check Chart Discussion.

I’m curious as to why Ariana Grande’s Problem debuted so high. I think The Way also debuted in the top 10 as well. She wasn’t a household name yet so I find it extremely impressive yet surprising that she was able to get such high debuts.

I was disappointed it couldn't hit #1 that week.

She had a total of 1 moderate hit, then in 2014, she came with a song that debuted with bigger numbers than even Gaga/Rihanna/etc lead singles were doing. I think til this day the best way to explain the debut was it was just an overnight smash that had a lot of things tied to it in the right moment (Ariana becoming a big name, Iggy becoming a big name, a strong sound for 2014). Truth be told, none of Ariana's singles after Problem until Thank U Next (over FOUR years later) did anywhere as well out the gate as Problem did. There was some magic specifically in that moment Problem was released.

Ariana became REALLY popular thanks to her role of Cat Valentine in the Nickelodeon TV series Victorious (2010-2013) and in the spinoff Sam & Cat (2013/14). She was famous before The Way, just not as a singer.

I mean "The Way" debuted at #10, she clearly had some steam out the gate, and with her debut, it kept the flow going with "Problem". Plus, Iggy was on fire at the time, along with digital sales. Agreed with the magic moment. They just had the right formula.

^4 Country songs between #11-#20 in spite of reduced airplay audiences. It's great that Luke Combs got his second top 20 song.

Not to nitpick, but “Six Feet Apart” isn’t the next single. They’re going for “Lovin’ on You” from the album instead (I’m guessing because they don’t think country radio listeners constantly want to be reminded of what’s happening). LoY will definitely be another big hit, though!
