This is actually one my faves from "American Life". I know this song probably sounds humorous to some people based on her high-pitched singing, but this one makes me sad, really it does. She gives a detailed account on how her mother's death affected her and particularly her relationship with her father. It actually had put a strain on their relationship when she was growing up. It's like "Oh Father" pt. 2.
These lines from the song were definitely the highlight for me...so sad.
