Question about Rain On Me’s sales. Was the big drop due to Complete My Album? I can’t think of any other reason it dropped so much, but I can’t remember if Billboard counts that as a negative or not.

Yeah... CMA. It was the most-sold song of the week, but only 6k counted for the Digital Sales chart. On the Hot 100, they count all sales, so the CMA rule didn't change its overall performance.

Crazy when you realize "Lose You to Love Me" and "Don't Start Now" debuted around the same time, but "Don't Start Now" is still top 10 and LYTLM went recurrent months ago - the longevity is impressive

Based on Rolling Stone/Alpha Data, Rain On Me's true sales this week were about 15K. I had it at 15k sales in my final prediction. I'm not sure if it's accurate because with 15k it's not really close to #5. Maybe it had more sales or its streams (20M) had a higher paid % than usual.

The only reason why Rain On Me was #5 this week was because of the album release. If it weren't for that, it would have been out of the Top 10, as evidenced by the fact that it has been free-falling on sales and streaming since Friday. I fully expect Rain On Me to fall outside of the Top 15, maybe even Top 20, next week. I foresee Rain On Me being around #5-10 on the streaming songs and sales. Probably will be top 30 on airplay too. I dont see it falling that hard tbh, maybe around No 7

That and the fact that it had all those bundles the previous week. Those definitely inflated the previous week's numbers. It would have dropped, regardless, except the combination of the two factors made the drop more scandalous than it would normally have been.

Yes, it sold way more than 6k this week and all sales were counted on the Hot 100. If not, it would've been #9/#10.

Rain On Me only sold 6,000? Ouch. I honestly feel bad for her. It's even worse than than the 2nd week sales of Hold It Against Me and Focus. Poor girl.

"Complete My Album" causes a subtraction on sales, if I recall.

^For the reported numbers in the top 10 article, yes. But not for the calculated points to determine its weekly position.

I hope "ROCKSTAR" manages to stay at the top for at least a few weeks. Kind of tired of the recent run of one week #1's we've had. I lived through 1975; 1989 and 1990 so I know of what I speak when I say they tend to get boring after awhile. But I know right now I'm in the minority on that.

The artists who took their first two Hot 100 hits to #1: The Monkees The Jackson 5 (first 4 singles) Andy Gibb (first 3 singles) Men At Work Tiffany Rick Astley Wilson Phillips Mariah Carey (first 5 singles) Puff Daddy (first 3 singles) Mase Christina Aguilera Lady Gaga Macklemore & Ryan Lewis
And some with asterisks: The 4 Seasons (discounting their initial chart hit as the Four Lovers) The Beatles (not counting "I Saw Her Standing There" charting as the B-side to "I Want To Hold Your Hand") KC & The Sunshine Band (they charted an instrumental as just 'The Sunshine Band' in between their first two number one hits) Lionel Richie (solo career only) Peter Cetera (solo career only) Beyoncé (solo career only)
If we narrow it to first two top ten hits reaching number one the list expands dramatically, with Grand Funk, Blondie, Wham!, Tears For Fears, Mr. Mister, Simply Red, U2, Fine Young Cannibals, Roxette, Paula Abdul, Enrique Iglesias, Outkast, 50 Cent, Adele, LMFAO, Roddy Ricch, and others being added.

You should have your own radio show and be the new Casey Kasem. Nice work!

The guy who sings “Sunday Best” sounds like Khalid if Khalid was ass at singing to me it sounds like a mixture of Khalid, 2013 Chance the Rapper if he sucked ass, and an even more shitty Rex Orange County

How many weeks did Rihanna's You Needed Me stay inside top 10 Hot 100? Will Intentions break her record for the most weeks inside top 10 without hitting top 5?
