Meatloaf won't be anywhere near the bottom five, but it definitely won't be anywhere near the top five either. I can see it making it to around 40-50. "Cryin'" will have enough support to escape the bottom ten, too, I'm sure. It wasn't even bottom ten in the 1993 active rock rankdown.

Meatloafs song is weird for me. I like some parts of it a lot and dislike some parts of it a lot.

Talk about expectations I mean, hair metal ain’t a loved genre, but again, them expectations Back then it was adored. That's all that matters I'd say it's still widely enjoyed today, given the number of Shazams for songs like "Livin' On A Prayer" by Bon Jovi (5,543,813) "I Love Rock N' Roll" by Joan Jett & The Blackhearts (4,836,466) "The Final Countdown" by Europe (4,502,906) "Here I Go Again" by Whitesnake (4,047,688) "You Give Love A Bad Name" by Bon Jovi (3,208,105) "Jump" by Van Halen (2,984,685) "Pour Some Sugar On Me" by Def Leppard (2,476,280) "Runaway" by Bon Jovi (2,278,392) "Is This Love" by Whitesnake (2,053,961) "We're Not Gonna Take It" by Twisted Sister (2,021,727) "Wanted Dead Or Alive" by Bon Jovi (2,016,241) "Poison" by Alice Cooper (1,966,564) "Cum On Feel The Noize" by Quiet Riot (1,929,351) "Every Rose Has Its Thorn" by Poison (1,881,293) "Carrie" by Europe (1,732,292) "Love Bites" by Def Leppard (1,667,895) "Kickstart My Heart" by Motley Crue (1,481,297) "I'll Be There For You" by Bon Jovi (1,234,647) "Sister Christian" by Night Ranger (1,190,908) "18 And Life" by Skid Row (1,061,868) And this doesn't include any songs by Guns N' Roses, any songs that were hits before 1980 or after 1990, or any songs with 500,000-999,999 Shazams, of which there are plenty more in the "hair metal" realm. Quite frankly, if an older song (generally 20 or more years old) has 500,000 or more Shazams, then it's been accepted as a classic by the musical mainstream. In addition, I'll venture that older songs with 100,000-499,999 Shazams are still enjoyed by pop/rock music enthusiasts. It's only when you go below 100,000 Shazams that you enter the realm of the forgotten. By the way, I just looked up "Cryin' " by Aerosmith, and it has 1,857,966 Shazams.

Yeah I don’t think having a ton of people scan a song usually because they have no idea what it’s called and who’s the artist certainly makes you a classic.

."Cats in the Cradle" really isn't that bad. It doesn't deserve bottom five over these songs.. Opinions and all, you are aware of the original right? Which the cover completely shamefully bastardized? Many of the dozen or so covers in this list (that doesn't even include the samples) weren't really necessary. However, one artist took two of those songs to a different level, completely owning them in the process. Attachment Deleted

Talk about complete unoriginality. This is like the hip hop equivalent of Frankenstein’s monster.

The fact that this unoriginal, lifeless, bland as crap not only was top 20 this year over a ton of hip hop, but was also this close to escaping the bottom 5...

Feels like I shouldn't be so pleasantly surprised that "To Love Somebody" is bottom five, but I am.
Sadly, I'm less pleasantly surprised (well, really, not surprised at all) that we let that abomination escape the bottom five.

Okay, so, not the best reveals, but anyway. 100. "Whoot, There It Is" [78]: Fun fact - this actually was released before the Tag Team version. I was kind of starting to think you guys would make this the higher one because the more popular one is "too white" or "watered down", or because it was a bigger hit. Glad I was proven wrong. I did not care about this version. I really do not think it's bad enough to be dead last, though. But that's just me. 99. "Forever In Love" [73]: Yeah, I felt bad about having to rank this so low. He really plays beautifully, but the song just does nothing for me. It definitely doesn't deserve to be this low when so much crap is still in. 98. "Nothin' My Love Can't Fix" [64]: Okay, so there is a much worse version of this called "The Right Kind of Love". Why on earth is this out before that? I don't understand. This one was actually kind of nice, in a guilty pleasure kind of way. 97. "To Love Somebody" [85]: It took this many reveals for one of my bottom 20 to show up. Anyway, I obviously didn't care about this one. Next. 96. "Dazzey Duks" [91]: While the chorus and verses "sung" by the guy who "sings" the chorus probably have the worst vocal delivery I have ever heard, the rap verse and beat alone make this less bad than some of the other stuff that's still in.
