I’m still somewhat hopeful Carrie will get a solo CMA slot, too, for a new single. That’s obviously wishful thinking, but I do feel like we’re getting something in early 2022 the latest. Part of me thinks we might get a one-off promo single released in conjunction with the start of her Vegas residency.. hopefully that’s also in conjunction with a new album era, too! Either way, I really think 2022 is going to be huge!

^^ I don’t know about a solo CMA performance, but I do think along the lines of everything else. I think they’re gonna let IIDLY run its final course and die down at radio, focus on the second annual MG push during the holidays, and then have 2022 be major. A lead single that not only coordinates with the residency but also with the album era, hence “lead single,” and I say that because the 2022 ACMs are right at the same time as her residency (she had so much demand that she had to add April shows) and they’ll be in Vegas this year so she could EASILY do something huge with that. I also think the lead might be out by February, and the album perhaps out in April as well. This is a pretty quick turn around, but Storyteller, Play On, and Carnival Ride all had that short of a gap between lead and album. If it’s not out by April, perhaps May or June.

I highly doubt we will be getting any new music before her Vegas shows now. I kind of assumed that. Those Vegas shows aren't really a place you want to sing new songs anyway. Play the hits and she'll do amazing there.

I like it. Continue to ride the high wave of If I Didn't Love You at country radio for the remainder of the year and give FTOY a little push to promote the Christmas album; then hopefully new material early next year. I think FTOY could actually do some damage, it made it all the way to 62 on last year's hot 100 despite only being available on Amazon music.

Very excited to see FTOY slay all the other girls this year!! I wonder if she'll be booked for Rockefeller Center too...and maybe even CMA Country Christmas? It's smart to ride the My Gift wave while letting IIDLY finish its course. Excited to see the CU9 era begin perhaps around ACMs time!

FYI: the special edition of My Gift vinyl will be $15 at WalMart for their early Black Friday sale. Starts at 7:00 p.m. on November 10.

Her GH vinyl will also be $15 on that day.

It’s important to say that FTOY did have Amazon backing it, with a widely aired commercial featuring it. The song reached a lot of ears last season. I hope they have something up their sleeve to get it the exposure it deserves!

Where did DYHWIH peak on country radio? Hopefully she can at least outdo that song.
