Leg 5: Lagos & Alexandria




Challenge #1: Detour (Lagos)
What is a detour? In these challenges, two themes will be available, and teams will choose to send a song for the one they feel more confident in. Be sure to specify which theme you are sending for
Detour Theme: One Hit or Name Refit
One Hit: Lagos handles 80% of Nigeria’s imports, with the port in Lagos handling 80% of Nigeria’s goods. This means that Lagos is the main majorly successful city in Nigeria. For this detour, you must send a song that was the main major success for an artist, namely a song from a one hit wonder. (Note: the song sent should be the one hit)
OR
Name Refit: Lagos used to be called Eko by the locals before it was renamed to its current day moniker. For this detour, you must send a song from an artist that changed their stage name during their career.

Challenge #2: Roadblock (Alexandria)
What is a roadblock? In these challenges, only one member of the team can come up with a song to send. No consulting. You'll be on the honor system here. Send in your group pm who will do this road block. They will then without consulting their teammate see the theme and send the song in individual pms.
tl;dr only one person sends a song, pick who that is in the group pms, then and only then they see the theme

Twist: Yield Vote
A favorite twist from season 1, the yield vote is back! The way the yield vote works is that each team votes for one other team that they'd like to see receive a penalty. The team with the most votes will receive a -5 penalty. In the event of a tie, all tied teams receive a -5 penalty. If you do not select a team to yield, then your team receives a vote. You may not discuss strategies with other teams, all decisions must be made by just you and your teammate.

consult with your teammate and get your songs in within 36 hours or else your team will NOT have a song in that category and will get an automatic 0/10. Feel free to ask myself and Samo any and all questions you may have. The world is waiting for you. Travel safe. Go!

Runner: I came in here knowing absolutely nothing, left with knowing a little more. I'll be taking my talents over to Last Stand next (and PAR again because this was fun)

Jaden: i think our placement was a roller coaster. one week we're at the bottom and the next we win


do you think you could've/should've done anything different?

Runner: Jaden should have done the roadblock first in the beginning then we alternated that way because I think all of our roadblocks got trucked lmao. Maybe we'd have better fortunes. probably not
