I still think the deluxe release so soon killed the hype. Sure, it gave streams for chart purposes but people's urge to actually listen to the album suffered.

If Ed, Bruno, Rih and Adele and Drake are still to come in 2020, wew any music forum is not ready. But I don't think all of them will release this year. There's also Kendrick too :0

I don't think Ed and Drake have been gone for long enough for music forums to care a lot.
I consider them as artists that just exist all the time in one form or another lol

Yeah, I definitely am looking forward to Adele, Bruno and Kendrick since we haven't heard them in any sort of music for a good while. At least Rihanna's part showed us that she hasn't completely abandoned music. Ed had some songs that stretched into this year and Drake, basically, is always around.

Tik Tok needs its own music chart do you mean a chart run by Billboard or run by the actual TikTok company? If it's the former, I don't see the need nor a desire on Billboard's part since they don't even factor TikTok UGC as much anymore. If the latter...maybe, but I don't know how you'd track that.

There's also Kendrick too :0 I really doubt Rihanna and Adele, who have waited years, will be dropping an album in the crappiest year of our entire existence. Something tells me both of them will hold off until next year. As for Ed, I hope he delays his album too. Last year's collaboration project really underwhelmed. He should take a longer break. Bruno has been quiet since 2018 so I would expect him to make a nice comeback regardless of when he decides to drop.

TikTok has their own official 'TikTok Trending' playlist on Spotify that updates to include whatever new Party Girl or what have you comes along, but I agree having an actual chart would be much more useful.

Can we talk about how Roddy Ricch is doing so well on radio? Two top 10 radio hits (The Box and High Fashion) another top 15 radio hit (Ballin') and ROCKSTAR quickly rising as well. This kind of radio presence seems unheard of for a new rapper. Roddy Ricch is a serious contender for Best New Artist at next year's Grammy awards. From what I know of the Grammy rules, he is not eligible for best new artist as he has already been nominated for 3 Grammys before, winning one for "Racks in the Middle". You cannot have been nominated in the past awards shows to be a candidate for BNA, even if you blew up and made an impact worldwide after the original nomination.
Otherwise, Cardi B, Camila Cabello, 21 Savage, and plenty of others would've been nominated in the past, especially at the 2019 Grammys, as Cardi B was up for album of the year that year.

^I agree that the Grammys have very loose rules about what constitutes a new artist.

Megan trainor was nominated for ROTY and SOTY prior to her winning BNA.. Grammys are always twisting their rules
