The Black Eyed Peas, I Gotta Feeling replaced Boom Boom Pow and Nelly with Hot In Herre and Dilemma hmmmm kinda i guess since they replaced eachother but i gotta feeling took 13 weeks To overtake boom boom pow (even tho it wasn’t released until like 2 weeks b4 it hit number 1) and dilemma took 8 weeks to overtake hot in herre yeah, you're right. I didn't read the question well.

The Black Eyed Peas, I Gotta Feeling replaced Boom Boom Pow and Nelly with Hot In Herre and Dilemma And the Beatles got their first 3 number #1's when I Want To Hold Your Hand was directly replaced by She Loves You which was then directly replaced by Can't Buy Me Love. took 8 weeks to get a 2nd number 1, but what a feat to get 3 back to back to back!

I heard John Lennon beat up his wife idk if it's true tho take it with a grain of salt. I try not to talk about any artist's personal life or anything else not relating to their music, chart achievements etc. But I will say this: Yes, John Lennon was known to have hit his first wife Cynthia on at least one occasion. There will be no excuses from me as to why it may have happened; it was absolutely wrong for him to do it and he never should have done it. Bottom line. In his later years, I do think he regretted doing it, not that that makes up for it or anything. ah so that was what happened i didn't know the full details of it. At least he regretted and learned from his mistake.

Nicki Minaj is the first female rapper to be removed from a #1 hit
Nicki Minaj is the only artist to be credited with her first #1 for only 2 weeks on the Hot 100
I'm sure TROLLZ will bring some records too.

Who got their first 2 numbers 1’s at a shorter time span than Nicki Minaj (6 weeks apart) ? I think she's tied with The Weeknd. Yeah, The Hills hit no. 1, 6 weeks after Cant Feel My Face

Have you actually listened to it? It's probably my least favorite John Lennon song, but the lyrics make it pretty clear that he is disparaging the way women have been treated historically. It is PRO-Feminist not Anti. And as for the title...Yoko Ono came up with it and had said it previously in an interview she gave in 1969. Yoko was and is a major feminist. John, always the controversial Beatle, thought it would make an ideal title for his Pro-feminist, anti-misogynistic song. It was 1972 and he was in his full on "Power to the People" liberal phase of his solo career. Perhaps he made an error in judgment. Despite the actual message of the song, the controversy over the title of the song and the lyrics kept the song from being played on many radio stations, hence, it's relatively low chart position. yep, it's a feminist song that is written from an extremely white pov that neglects the experiences of Black Americans in favor of a sensationalist piece of art. John's attitude in some interviews from the time sounds like a version of the way in which 6ix9ine behaves around the use of the N-word: non-black people feeling entitled to use this word and "reclaim" it when it is none of their business to begin with.

Congrats to Nicki, but her two #1s just feel so cheap and inorganic. One is a remix that only lasted two weeks on the chart, and the other is a song with a controversial rapper that will probably fall out of the top 40 in Week Two. Justice for "Super Bass" and "Starships," but those other songs ain't it.
And to those comparing Nicki's #1s to Cardi's, please shut up. "Bodak Yellow," "I Like It" and "Girls Like You" were legit ubiquitous smashes.

Trollz coming for Heartless record. Maybe it can beat "All I Want for Xmas..." and completely fall from the chart? I'd love that. (Jk, it's probably gonna fall to the 30s or something).

korbel16Monica and Beyonce hold the record for the shortest time span for an artist to achieve their first two number one singles (not including replacement number-ones). •1998: “The Boy Is Mine” > (4 Weeks Later) > “The First Night”. Aersomith’s “I Don’t Wanna Miss A Thing” was #1 in-between. •2003: “Crazy In Love” > (4 Weeks Later) > “Baby Boy”. Nelly’s “Shake Ya Tailfeather” was #1 in-between. Also, Ashanti did the same in 6 weeks also, tying Nicki Minaj. •2002: “Always On Time” > (6 Weeks Later) > “Foolish”.

Trollz coming for Heartless record. I would be so okay with "TROLLZ" beating "Heartless" for highest fall from #1.

Trollz coming for Heartless record. I would be so okay with "TROLLZ" beating "Heartless" for highest fall from #1. Me too. The way Trollz is doing right now it should be gone off the charts in 3-5 weeks hopefully it can miss the YE. No offense to Nicki but that rat doesn't deserve a #1.

Idk idk i think I’m being too specific

Nicki could go to #1 with Drake, Beyoncé and Jesus on the track and folks would rush to find fault. Nothing surprises me. But the thing is she didn't. It doesn't matter what she could have done, what matters is that what she did do is carry a disgusting pedophile and generally apathetic and s**tty artist to #1 so that's what people are going to be talking about. Also, she has proven herself time and time again to be a petty and unlikeable person in her own right with stunts like telling Barbz to harass people who gave her bad reviews, and she's made a whole lot of garbage music so if people are inclined to find fault with what she does it can't be entirely unanticipated. Which just proves the overarching issue is people not personally liking Nicki more so than caring about who she worked with for real.

I will laugh my ass off if my prediction of TROLLZ going to #53 in it's second week is true.
Taylor Hicks is somewhere rubbing his hands together maniacally.

I think Nicki is quite a terrible person, and have never really vibed with her. HOWEVER, she has some undeniable smashes in her discography, with certain songs like Va Va Voom and Chun-Li which should've been #1 hits honestly.
Say So Remix and TROLLZ just seem so lazy to me, Nicki is talented but these songs aren't it chief. She needs to go back to the drawing board and release some Grade A material, like Drake she has potential but keeps squandering it with shitty throwaway verses and mediocre tracks.

I truly believe Nicki deserved her first #1 with "Anaconda" and it was almost close to doing so, but Taylor came in with "Shake It Off" to ruin it.

Those two had the longevity neither "Say So (Remix)" nor "TROLLZ" had (or looks set to have). I'm glad Nicki is getting #1 singles, this far into her career, but she should have already had some. both of these felt bittersweet, this one more than the "Say So" remix. I look forward to seeing how her solo material & album perform.

it's the same feeling i got when Lose You To Love Me went #1. it didn't feel like the artist finally getting the #1 they deserved, it felt like just a pity gift for a deteriorating superstar.
(worth noting that ROCKSTAR didn't feel like it was earned either, although that's probably just because DaBaby gives off the aura of someone who's already #1 at all times)
