How does a song with 50 million less streams on YouTube first day get similar Spotify streams

Also 'Tommy Lee' is only #134 on Apple Music, so I don't understand how it debuted #17 on Spotify let alone with zero Today's Top Hits exposure.

TROLLZ debuted with weak numbers on Spotify and it's underperforming on Apple Music as well because it's been 30 hours since it got released and it still hasn't reached the top 3 on Apple Music.

GOOBA reached #1 on Apple Music but it left that spot a few hours later.

It seems like the only platform 6ix9ine is solid on is YouTube.

I checked several countries and Trollz is "underperforming" everywhere. It's also #25 globally.

So maybe those are real numbers for it!

How will it magically "pick up"? This time around, it was released on time on all DSPs so there's no excuse of it getting such low streams because it was released mid-day. It's Spotify numbers should drop tomorrow and the day after that. I'm more interested in seeing if it'll be able to manage a rebound when we get Monday's numbers.

TROLLZ is only dominating on YouTube as far as streaming goes and beyond the fact that YouTube streams weigh less, Billboard doesn't count the total YouTube streams a song pulls in the US for some reason.

Nicki fans need to go crazy with the bundles and digital sales because that's the only way they're getting their #1 debut at this rate.

As for “Memories”, I know that placed at #2 on the Hot 100. My point was that, at the time, “Girls Like You” was their biggest crossover success since “Sugar” which was released four years before and Cardi B played a huge part in that.

Lil Baby, Rock Star etc. all have the edge on AM due to playlist placement.

Trollz got added to a few playlists on AM late in the day. Let's not even get started with Spotify.

Both 6ix9ine and Nicki will always come up short on Spotify/AM and Radio... the industry is against them.

For the most part, 69 has been promoting the video and buying the single. They know the can't win on any other platforms. Its a fail.

I don't buy that. I can compare TROLLZ's performance to the Bigger Picture's performance. One had a lot of hype before it's release, has Nicki Minaj on it and has the force of two fanbases behind it. The other is a song about racial injustice and got released with no hype. The song that's meant to be performing better is TROLLZ, hands down, but that's not the case.

6ix9ine will always do well on YouTube, but playlist placement or not, there's no Nicki or 6ix9ine fan who didn't know about the song dropping. Even the casual probably listener knows about the song. It trended on Twitter before and after it's release. Nicki and 6ix9ine posted about the song several times on their social media accounts before and after it dropped. Also, the people checking out the video know it's also available on other platforms to stream, but they don't seem to be interested in doing that.

I would believe the AM charts now is weaker than when Gooba was released. this week we have 2 month old Rockstar and a new Lil Baby song. when Gooba was released, we had stuck with u, Kehlani album, nav album and drake 2nd week. so the song is underperforming compared to gooba on AM

 MEGATRON had 730,743 streams #15 aswell. So pretty much yes. GOOBA had 694,536 streams #16. 

Edit: My bad, I forgot it was released mid day, it had 1,512,145 first full day.

GOOBA had 23.6M on-demand audio streams. This isn't cracking 20M by the looks of it.

They are underperforming. GOOBA is doing better than TROLLZ in the UK and Canada in Spotify currently. I feel like the Barbz in the US are streaming hard but no one else cares.
