The new Teyana Taylor is way too long and way too bloated. It feels very much a case of quantity over quality, and even then, none of the production is as good as K.T.S.E. which was only 8 songs! (Not surprising though, Kanye only has two production credits)
Iget the feeling Good Music thought K.T.S.E. as a taster of Teyana's music and thus wanted to this album to be a statement that "look at this talented singer we are backing". I mean the album is called "The Album". And it's good that they're backing her don't get me wrong, it's great that someone of Teyana's talent is finally getting an actual push from the label with music videos and big name features, they're finally paying attention to her as more than someone who can provide good backing vocals for a Kanye song.
But at the same time, I really hope there's some quality control for her next album. Teyana has the best voice of the current crop of R&B singers and I still think she has the potential to be genre defining like Erykah Badu or Janet Jackson.

Lockdown is great. I thought Artist 2.0 was all new music and I was anticipating it to make some noise but idk anymore I also donβt know if A Boogie is an album bomb artist or not but if Polo G can do it then thatβs probably a dumb question.
Stream The Album, RnB perfection honestly these girls have been killing it, JhenΓ©, Chloe x Halle, and now miss Taylor all served and will all probably be paid dust unfortunately.
