#21 - Somos El Mundo 25 Por Haiti - David Archuleta (with Artistas Por Haiti)
Total Points: 117 Bubbling Under: #15
castleoblivion26 - #14 .indulgecountry - #20 toomuchboy - #20 fireflies - #21 bigd79 - #21 dee12 - #21
In order to help out Haiti after the earthquakes hit, many celebrities came in to record this popular Michael Jackson tune. This is the Spanish version and featured briefly our Season 7 runner-up, David A! Congrats to fireflies, bigd79 & dee12 for perfect rankings!

I actually liked this version. I mean ultimately I felt like this belonged more around 15 or so because there are a few very weak songs but I think it going here is fine as well

#20 - Beautiful Day - Lee DeWyze
Total Points: 97 Hot 100: #24
fireflies - #13 dee12 - #14 bigd79 - #15 .indulgecountry - #17 castleoblivion26 - #17 toomuchboy - #21
This was the winning song for season 9 champ, Lee DeWyze. Instead of going with an original song, they ended up giving Lee a cover song from the popular group, U2. Here is Lee's winning moment!

#18 - We Are the World 25: For Haiti - Jennifer Hudson, Randy Jackson, Jordin Sparks, Katharine McPhee, Lionel Richie, Harry Connick Jr. (with Artists for Haiti)
Total Points: 92 Hot 100: #2
bigd79 - #8 toomuchboy - #10 castleoblivion26 - #13 dee12 - #17 fireflies - #22 .indulgecountry - #22
Here is the English version of the Haiti benefit song. It skyrocketed on the Hot 100 chart! Jennifer has a decent amount of screen time as does Randy and current judge Lionel (who, I believe, was an executive producer on this). Jordin, Katharine & Harry were just in the chorus.

#17 - My Best Days Are Ahead of Me - Danny Gokey
Total Points: 90 Hot 100: #82
bigd79 - #7 dee12 - #11 .indulgecountry - #16 fireflies - #17 toomuchboy - #19 castleoblivion26 - #20
After coming in 3rd place on season 8, Danny ventured into the country genre. While he didn't last too long over there, this song came true when he switched over to the Christian genre and found much more success! Congrats to fireflies for a perfect ranking!

This is our final Haiti benefit song to leave us. Both of the "Let It Be" songs managed to get 89 points. Jennifer had the upper hand thanks to a #8 ranking!

It was nice to see a lesser known alumni manage to get an album track to chart, if even very briefly. That's a very good album cover too. Congrats to bigd79 for a perfect ranking!

I really enjoy Kris Allen's version, too, but I couldn't help ranking JHUD's version higher. Her vocals were more restrained than usual and it's really beautiful.

#13 - Bittersweet - Fantasia
Total Points: 81 Hot 100: #74
.indulgecountry - #3 toomuchboy - #7 fireflies - #14 castleoblivion26 - #15 dee12 - #20 bigd79 - #22
We were all fairly divided with this one. This did fine as her lead single for her third studio album. Fantasia was an early winner who lasted longer than many of her counterparts.

#11 - For Your Entertainment - Adam Lambert
Total Points: 71 Hot 100: #61
toomuchboy - #6 castleoblivion26 - #6 .indulgecountry - #12 dee12 - #12 fireflies - #16 bigd79 - #19
This was Adam's first big single. While it did decent, they quickly went to single two. All in all, that seemed to be the right move into elevating Adam up the pop circle.

glad to see Danny Gokey miss the Top 10, I just don't care for him at all
I am sad to see Adam miss the Top 10 with "For Your Entertainment" cause I've always enjoyed that one but it definitely didn't deserve to be higher than some of the songs in the top 10 so I cannot complain too much.
I'm thinking Daughtry, Katherine McPhee, Lauren Daigle, and Jordin Sparks all have to be on borrowed time.

Lol how tf did Fantasia get several bottom 3 ranks. Smh. Simple….she has one of the most cringeworthy voices in the history of music. How anyone thinks she is any good is beyond me.

Lauren's debut album really put her on the map. This was her fourth single and turned out to be a good choice for her. Her voice is really good and I'm glad this made the top 10 here! Congrats to castleoblivion26 for a perfect ranking!

Our next two songs tied in points. A #2 ranking over a #4 ranking is what broke the tie, which makes our next song barely missing out on the top 8.

Carrie's tours are always wildly successful. For this video, she decided to incorporate that. I thought it meshed together nicely with this uptempo. (Now, "Church Bells" is a whole different story.)

I actually agree that Fantasia's voice is very cringe-worthy at times. I've struggled with her since she was on Idol and I remember being so disappointed that she won due to that. However, while her voice is not my cup of tea I can understand her popularity because of her lyrics and music is surprisingly good in many aspects. I'd never rank her super high because of her voice but I do think "Bittersweet" might be one of my favorite things I've ever heard from her, at least that I remember as I never revisit anything from her lol

It's a back to back loss for Carrie as we now see one of her album tracks leave us. I loved her "Play On" album and this would have made for a great radio single! Congrats to fireflies for a perfect ranking!

This is a fun number from Jordin and one of her poppier singles. This is the ONLY song this rankdown that had every rank in the single digits! Congrats to fireflies for a perfect ranking!

I was just being dramatic for fun, lol. That said, comparing her as a winner to someone like Lee DeWyze is.... quite the whiplash. Crazy to think how low the bar fell for someone like him to win.
