I like this more than Tim's original; I guess because it sounds more like a pop song anyway. I always liked Blake, but I *loved* Jordin. Season 6's finale was one of my favorites.

I remember being really impressed with his cover of "When The Stars Go Blue". I remember watching that episode cause it was Martina McBride's first appearance on the show and she mentored all the singers and was impressed with his take of this song

To me, "If We Hold On Together" and "I (Who Have Nothing)" were a one-two punch from Jordin. The former was a song I always liked and her performance of it caught my attention, then she knocked the latter out of the park the following week, and that was all she wrote.

Lauren tried out a couple of times on this show. She went the farthest on season 9 where she was cut right before voting rounds, similar to that of Tori Kelly. This is the first single from her debut album. The album produced five hit singles. This was all before she found crossover success with "You Say". Bucky seems to be one of the more overlooked country alums from this show. But, he still managed to get a nice set of hits. It didn't hurt that he was on season 5, the one where almost the entire top 10 got record deals. |

This was a fun single. I enjoyed the tie-in to "Before He Cheats" in the music video. It was a nice prequel of sorts. She was cranking out hits in her sophomore era. Radio and audiences kept Carrie's momentum going at a great pace! Congrats to fireflies for a perfect ranking!

The wrong Carrie Underwood song left just before the Top 10. "All-American Girl" is trash. Sorry not sorry lol. While "Last Name" isn't the greatest song it isn't grating like AAG
Hopefully AAG and "Tattoo" are the next two out though I could see it being "We Weren't Crazy" and "Things That Never Cross A Man's Mind"

This era of Kelly's was such a messy one. She had a hit first single and that was basically it. This should have done really well, but there was never any real push with it. I was very disappointed this got no music video. Luckily, "Smallville" chose to honor it in one of their episodes!

This was such a good choice for the lead single to her 2nd album. It's a soaring ballad with a great message! This song and video was repeat worthy from the get go. Her album debuted with over 500,000 copies. She was definitely here to stay for the long haul. Two #1's broke the tie with Kelly. Congrats to dee12 for a perfect ranking!

While the Top 2 was my Top 2, they are in opposite places lol. I love both songs so I'm good with this because "Over You" is so good. I love Daughtry's first album. Look forward to seeing the next one! thanks for hosting these fireflies |
