Season 5 was a good season to be a part of. Almost everyone in the top 10/12 got a record deal or some kind of opportunity. Chris Daughtry went up to bat and hit home run after home run. His enormous success propelled him to #3 status, right behind Kelly and Carrie!

Jordin's debut single, "Tattoo", did real well. So, I think it was smart for her to choose this as the second single. It was a duet with a very popular singer at the time. It kept Jordin's momentum going strong throughout this album era!

During season 1 of American Idol, no one really knew how successful it was going to be. It didn't take long to find out though. This is a great song to begin her debut album era! It connected with radio and fans. It really showcases her voice and shows why she would soon become the next big thing in pop music!

I am just not really a fan of Miss Independent. I love Kelly, but the melody to this one has always irritated me.
