You might be right. I remember seeing somewhere that Spotify charts (or at least the global one) is based on Stockholm time, where Spotify HQ is located.

(I feel like it wouldn't make sense for them to sync US charts to that time, though, and we would have noticed because mid-day releases would have close to no impact on the chart.)

This will answer the second question. Also if you combine the daily streams on their Daily chart Friday-Thursday they are always less than the streams on the weekly chart. ALWAYS

 

As for the time zone thing, i awlays assumed they use the same time, why would they use different times (it's illogical). So if what you say is true, then i am wrong (haven't worked in the music industry)

So every chart (except the Global) is based on local time zones. Makes sense.

It's really not the kind of song you'd expect to stream super well at all considering how abrasive, frantic, and loud it is. Imo it's more of a shock that it has been stable since yesterday rather than falling immediately.
