A new remix of the classic was produced by Mauro Mozart.
I was a huge fan of the original. This is such a hot update. It transforms the fun song into a tear your shirt and jeans off and dance like no one is watching anthem.

YES!!! I love this remix. Gloria is amazing and I think she is underrated.
I feel like she gets overshadowed with the other "divas" of the time. Like Madonna, Janet, Whitney, Paula, etc.
She has an excellent catalog of hits and I love this remix!

Mauro Mozart is a producer/remixer/DJ from Brazil so it's totally apropos that he would be selected to update the song. I could see this being a bonus track. Reworks of some of her other songs have appeared on some of her albums/collections, like that 2000 update of "Conga" and that Mylo mashup of "Dr. Beat."
Gloria was the first Pop artist I was into when I was growing up.

Gloria was the first Pop artist I was into when I was growing up. She was one of my firsts also. I remember sitting there watching MTV waiting for the video for 1,2,3 to come on. I have the Essential Gloria and I love nearly every single song. Great writer, singer and also an excellent performer! |
