13. The Girl Is Mine - Michael Jackson & Paul McCartney

The lead single from Thriller may have been a head scratcher for some, but there was a reason for its selection. It might sound crazy now, but back in the fall of 1982, MJ wasn't guaranteed another pop hit. So to ensure that he did, he and producer Quincy Jones enlisted the aid of the former Beatle. The song may not have gone all the way to #1 on the Hot 100, but it did on the soul chart. Then came "Billie Jean" and the rest, as they say, is HIStory.

Thanks for taking "Sexual Healing" out of my ranking.

"Time Will Reveal" is the worst DeBarge song that I've heard. Not surprised in the slightest that it's last here.

I genuinely thought "The Girl is Mine" would be higher. Thank goodness it's not.

Perfect bottom three. Sure, why not?

"Cold Blooded" is really good, but I'm not going to pretend that he doesn't have better.

Thankfully, Soulsista removing "Sexual Healing" from my list allowed for "Save the Overtime" to get into my top ten. Phew.

Not surprised that "Atomic Dog" isn't too high. I ranked it low the only other time we've ranked it, but, given the rankdown it was in, I'm glad I was able to give it a more fitting placement here.

I love The Gap Band, and I like "Outstanding", but I prefer "Early in the Morning", let alone "You Dropped a Bomb on Me".

Not that I absolutely hate the song or anything (it's probably his best solo song, in fact), but how the hell is Lionel still here?
