It’s crazy that out of all the “#1s” this year, i would really consider 4 of them to be true, strong #1s (The Box, Circles, Blinding Lights, Rockstar)

The only 'flukes' overall I'd say were Trollz/Stuck with U/The Scotts. (They'll all probably struggle to make Year End and weren't really big on any radio formats) Rain On Me is kinda in the middle. It's not as big as the non-flukes, but not anywhere as weak as the flukes.

public doesn't care much for minaj version of say so considering how i never hear that version on the radio and how streams for the remix plummeted

^It was mostly the Barbz who have cared for that for a short while.

And Toosie Slide probably managed that as well being the lead single from Drake's next album. Definitely, the others that you mention were fluke, powered by bundles. The Scotts had the Fortnite event to help it out. In essence, I agree with atg.

In the defense of Savage, it's remix became the dominant version. It's more like Despacito than Bad Guy or Say So.

Toosie Slide is not the lead single from Drake's next album. I feel like Drake is going to put in on his album as a 'bonus track' which would effectively make it the lead single

He made that clear when he added it to Dark Lane Demo Tapes. No song has made it on two Drake projects before. It's not about to start now. He stated clearly that his album is all new, unheard music.

“Toosie Slide” despite being a hit, signaled some fatigue with Drake’s audience. I think his new era is going to pale in comparison to his last album if he’s really going to drop it this soon. Literally no one is missing Drake or asking for more new music from him. Why not just hold off til 2021?

He's never dropped two individual projects in the same year before, plus using the bonus track technique will also let him get away with saying its all new music

Also I'm a fan of BENEE's new song, but unfortunately it doesn't feel like a big hit. Hope it is, regardless.

Where is “Toosie Slide” on the Hot 100? Is it above or below “LIG”, the superior hit? 👏🏿

While Toosie shows that Drake won't have such an ease with meme hits as before with for example IMF, Life Is Good also shows that despite its peak (it did deserve a #1), people will stream and consume the hell out of a Drake song anyways.

I'm convinced someone of y'all have not actually listened to "Toosie Slide"... that song was obviously not a hit that would be spending 30 weeks top 10 imo.
It was IMF on steroids. It had no value aside from the viral element / dance. I just think it's a bit over reading to make conclusions based on a song that clearly was going to have a very quick burn out rate from the first time it was heard anyways.

Except that “In My Feelings” was the one that was actually on steroids, becoming his biggest hit across the globe. TS didn’t even make half the splash that song achieved.

"On steroids" as in it was even more of a 'meme song' that was only tied to being a viral dance and nothing more, as I said. IMF has a much more enjoyable melody and is a much more better song I think is more listenable on a normal sitting not tied to any challenge/dance. Also Toosie was pretty successful globally looking at the chart positions. It was a hit all over the world. Not as big as IMF, but not some flop.

so are the interludes/intro/outro on the Juice album going to be eligible to chart or not The only thing keeping them from doing so would be streaming. Most streaming services struggle to track streaming for a song less than 30 seconds. The Get Through It interlude is the only one under 30 seconds, so all of the others can absolutely make the Hot 100 if they have enough points to do so. Even Get Through It could chart if it managed to obtain enough points, but since its streaming will be severely hindered by tracking technology, it likely won't.

People consume the hell out of Drake music GENERALLY. He's been the most consumed artist in the US every year since 2015. He missed the mark of being the #1 artist in 2019 by less than 100K units and he's been the most consumed artist in the US so far this year. It's also not just his new music. It's his catalog. Old or new songs, people are always streaming Drake's music. This is where he's ranked every week in the most consumed acts in the US this year so far (total catalog): Based on the Rolling Stone Artist 500 chart: Dec. 27, 2019 - Jan. 2, 2020: #3 Jan. 3, 2020 - Jan. 9, 2020: #3 Jan. 10, 2020 - Jan. 16, 2020: #3 Jan. 17, 2020 - Jan. 23, 2020: #6 Jan. 24, 2020 - Jan. 30, 2020: #4 Jan. 31, 2020 - Feb. 6, 2020: #5 Feb. 7, 2020 - Feb. 13, 2020: #3 Feb. 14, 2020 - Feb. 20, 2020: #6 Feb. 21, 2020 - Feb. 27, 2020: #5 Feb. 28, 2020 - Mar. 5, 2020: #5 Mar. 6, 2020 - Mar. 12, 2020: #6 Mar. 13, 2020 - Mar. 19, 2020: #5 Mar. 20, 2020 - Mar. 26, 2020: #5 Mar. 27, 2020 - Apr. 2, 2020: #4 Apr. 3, 2020 - Apr. 9, 2020: #1 Apr. 10, 2020 - Apr. 16, 2020: #2 Apr. 17, 2020 - Apr. 23, 2020: #2 Apr. 24, 2020 - Apr. 30, 2020: #2 May. 1, 2020 - May. 7, 2020: #1 May. 8, 2020 - May. 14, 2020: #1 May. 15, 2020 - May. 21, 2020: #2 May. 22, 2020 - May. 28, 2020: #2 May. 29, 2020 - Jun. 4, 2020: #1 Jun. 5, 2020 - Jun. 11, 2020: #1 Jun. 12, 2020 - Jun. 18, 2020: #1 Jun. 19, 2020 - Jun. 25, 2020: #1 Jun. 26, 2020 - Jul. 2, 2020: #1 Jul. 3, 2020 - Jul. 9, 2020 - #2

if the Juice songs predicted to debut top 10 end up making it then Legends Never Die will have five top 10 songs, putting it amongst albums with the most top 10 hits of all time
