There’s been a lot of conversation about it (with a lot of different opinions), so I thought I’d make a poll to see where everyone stands. :)

"Mess with My Head" is my pick. Love that one, and think it would fit her 'brand' well (and she hasn't had a more uptempo rocker hit single in awhile now) while also being something a little different and modern for her; it kinda reminds me of something from Maren's catalog musically. I feel like it would be one of the most accessible picks for country radio, and it's already been proven as one of the more popular album cuts. It strikes me as the best pick for continuing her radio momentum.
It probably wouldn't work for high airplay due to it likely being pretty polarizing, but "White Trash" is actually my favorite song left on the album after the first 2 singles and I think it would be so FUN on the radio (it's been the biggest grower for me since the album release -- it's so sing-alongable) and the music video potential is great. "Way Too Pretty for Prison" would also be awesome imo because of the Maren feature and it's also just such a fun song and would make for a good visual as well.
"Tequila Does," "Track Record," "Dark Bars," and "Settling Down" would also be varying levels of decent options, too. The rest are a no from me.

My personal picks, in descending order of preference: 1. “Tequila Does” - Very unique, which seems to be working for a lot of female country artists nowadays. Though it’s probably guaranteed to flame out in the teens (if it even got that far). 2. “Track Record” - Really radio friendly. There’s nothing too unique about it, but it’s a well-rounded song. 3. “Settling Down” - Pretty much the same as “Track Record”–radio friendly, catchy, though maybe a bit low-key. 4. “Mess with My Head” - I love the song, but there’s some weird production choices and vocal effects, and the loudness (for lack of a better word) could work against it when it comes to callout scores 5. “Dark Bars” - Before today I never thought of it as a potential single choice, but with the majority of the next single’s run being in winter, a slow song might *potentially* do well for Miranda.

I went ahead and voted for "Dark Bars." That lyric video struck me. It's also grown on me more and more with each spin I give it and the album (it had already been loved on first listen) and if this is picked I feel like it will do good for its relatability. It would peak in January-February 2021 most likely so it's perfect imo.
I personally would also love "Track Record," "Fire Escape," "Settling Down," "Mess With My Head," or even "How Dare You Love." The rest are a no from me.

Flip “Dark Bars” and “Tequila Does” and it’s my list. I could see any of these working wonderfully though.

I'm still really wanting "Mess With My Head". There are certainly other great choices, but that one just stands out as such a big hit to me, and the most likely song to build on "Bluebird"'s momentum.
Other songs I could really see are "Way Too Pretty For Prison" and "Track Record". I see the cases being made for "Tequila Does" and "Dark Bars" (and they are both great songs), but I think that both are little too slow to become big hits after "Bluebird". I would want "Dark Bars" out of the two of them, though.
I also love "White Trash" and "Pretty Bitchin'", but neither would make a great single. I could see radio resisting "White Trash" like they did "Little Red Wagon", and "Pretty Bitchin'" would need such a severe edit (and a title change) that would ruin the essence of the song, imo.
That all being said, this is a fantastic album, and I would quickly get behind whatever single gets sent out next.

I think "Mess With My Head" is the best choice after "Bluebird". The production is very pop leaning, but it's got an undeniable hook and is a nice change of tempo after "Bluebird".

Dark Bars and Way Too Pretty For Prison are my favourite songs from Wildcard and I would love if one of this two gets released as a single.

Gave the album a spin again last night and now I'm thinking "Settling Down" is the best option going forward. It's sooo deceptively catchy and I think it plays well on radio.

I’m not sure I see her singling Mess, for a few reasons (which I could be wrong about in a week’s time) 1. Miranda has said it’s not country, and I really don’t think she would send it to country radio b/c unlike a lot people that still means something to her. 2. I don’t see her wanting to discuss the very real subject matter of what inspired the song, which you usually do when something becomes a single. 4. Vice is arguably one of her best songs that deserved a #1 with a similar subject matter and only went to 11. 3. I think people don't take into account how much more Song of the Year awards mean to Miranda than #1s at radio. I think Dark Bars would be the only other song of the year choice once Bluebird’s award season is over. Since it would likely peak in 2021, that would work out for the next rounds of ACM 2022, CMA 2021 & Grammys 2022.

"Tequila Does" sounds like a smash destined to go down as a career highlight. Like, it doesn't matter if country radio doesn't support it much, it feels like one of those types of songs people will just wind up knowing anyway and will go on to stream and sell well despite lack of radio interest (something like "Follow Your Arrow"). Though, hopefully radio would latch on anyway, especially coming off of the success of "Bluebird." So that's my pick for sure.
Hoping "Holy Water" gets the single treatment down the road too, but not before "Tequila Does."
