Interesting how “Tootsee Roll” didn’t even have any ranks in the bottom 3.

I like Babyface but I just can’t get into And Our Feelings. That part before the first chorus where there are like four false starts before the chorus FINALLY kicks in - nope. Lost me.

It's the DRAMA :) I love "And Our Feelings", easily my favorite of his three songs from that year but I get how it could be out quickly. I can't picture "Never Keeping Secrets" going much further. Hopefully "When Can I See You" sticks around for a little while though.

Well, at least Tootsee Roll still made it in the dishonorable mentions. Hooray?
Never heard that Babyface song (And Our Feelings) but I can't imagine it'd be that bad. Maybe a wee bit underwhelming but lower than 69 Boyz?
And so long, Richard Marx. Definitely hate bagging on a normal punching bag like him and Bolton but his music just never translated well into the mid-90s.

I only ranked Richard Marx at 83, but I really appreciate his balladry a lot more than the other non-R&B ballads here (Bolton, Adams, Meatloaf, Kadison).

I’m saddest about I’ll Take You There so far. I loved that when it was out. And it occurs to me now, my music taste for 1994 was probably the purest, most unfiltered my taste could ever be because it lacked any influence from other places like people, social media, reviews, acclaim, etc. Of course I was ten in 1994 so that influenced my taste too.

I'd probably like "Tootsee Roll" more if it wasn't so freaking repetitive.
"Getto Jam" gets me dangerously close to losing a song I actually really cared about. I liked "Getto Jam" enough, though.
Objectively, Immature probably should have been my last place. Subjectively, Bryan Adams can go to hell.

Please Forgive Me Bryan Adams
The title sounds like he's apologizing for the rest of his career and I like it.

I didn't think "Getto Jam" would be out so early, what? I definitely did expect to see "Bump N Grin" and "Please Forgive Me", though. Glad to see the far inferior reggae cover rightfully out first.

100. Don't Take The Girl (98): Vocals were annoying, and melody was meh. Clear bottom 5. 99. Your Body's Callin' (102): Never cared much for this song. I didn't like his affected vocals and melisma. And now I can't stomach the lyrics considering he was thinking of underage girls at the time he wrote this shit. Disgusting. 98. Indian Outlaw (67): His vocals worked in this upbeat tune. Instrumental and production resembled an 80s type of rocker. Nice discovery. 97. So Much In Love (96): Interestingly, I liked this song back in '94, reaching the top 10 of my personal chart. I think I just liked the original melody and the idea of an a cappella song ala BIIM. However, now that I hear it again, the vocals are really not that good, and it's a bit too long to be effective. Plus, the original is miles better. 96. All For Love (39): TOP 40 LOSS ALERT! Come on, now. Bottom 5? Really? In THIS rank down? Geez! This was a personal chart-topper. I liked the vocals and harmonies that these 3 strong rock singers provided here. The instrumental worked for this type of song. In any case, this should've skipped bottom 20 at a minimum IMO.
95. Always In My Heart (95): This type of ballad production has aged bad IMO. The melody was weak and vocals were the worst amongst all singles. 94. Gangsta Lean (94): That chorus was cringe to me, and the whole thing was just too boring. 93. I Miss You (89): Despite the lyrics, neither the melody nor the vocals clicked with me. It was too all over the place to me. 92. Cry For You (97): Another song where melody was all over the place. And vocals were far too screamy, while instrumental was just meh. 91. Said I Loved You...But I Lied (42): TOP 50 LOSS ALERT! Not surprised of course, but again I feel MB was unfairly tanked. His vocals here spot on, leaning more on the softer than the screamy side, which fit the more lush, AC production. This was his second song to reach the top of my personal chart, and I still like it.
90. And Our Feelings (81): Nice vocals, but just ok melody and again the type of production that sounds dated now. 89. Tootsee Roll (92): I don't mind dancing to it, as it's a bit fun, but as a song this is a joke -a catchy joke- with a quite weak production. 88. Now and Forever (58): This was his last song to reach the top of my personal chart. I like this type of tender ballad, with effective vocals and simple instrumental. Again. Not surprised at its ranking, but I still like this now. 87. Never Keeping Secrets (87): Melody was not as strong to me as AOF. 86. Everyday (74): This was a lesser Do You Remember, with a lazier melody.

This set only featured 2 songs I rally cared about.
#88. Now And Forever - Richard Marx I liked this one a whole lot more when it was around back then. It kinda sounded extremely pretty this time. The reason I kept it out of my top 10, but at least Richard proved the RD wrong and made it out of the bottom 12.
#82. Please Forgive Me - Bryan Adams I knew I would be the highest ranker for this and further salt was thrown at it by posting it as #92 when it is in fact #82. I didn't appreciate that too much. Anyway, beautiful ballad delivered with tender heartfelt emotion like no one, but Bryan can.
#83. Getto Jam - Domino Most of the rap songs on this list were not too bad, but i still tanked the weird first time listens. The piano beats through this melody off for me.
#84. I'll Take You There - General Public This sounded like a bad cover. 'nuff said.

In the future, and this is for everyone, if I make a typo (which should be expected since I’m human and this is a lot of work for me to do), please let me know instead of complaining about it. Thanks!

85. Bump N' Grind (101): I didn't dislike this song back in the day. It had a nice groove to it. However, this is yet another case where the lyrics are now too disgusting to me due to what I know from R Kelly. I can be more lenient to songs written by RK and sung by others, but not when RK is at the forefront like this. I just can't. 84. I'll Take You There (61): My favorite GP songs are Tenderness and Faults and All, both personal top 10s. It was nice to see them come back this year and even get a top 10. The original is great, and this is a bit reductive, but I don't find it too bad, except for the bridge... It made my personal top 10. 83. Getto Jam (84): This has a catchy melody, but it's a bit monotonous, and nothing too memorable to me. 82. Please Forgive Me (25): :( :( :'( :'( Not surprised but disappointed... Strong emotional vocal performance, as expected from Bryan. Strong melody, too, and don't mind the lyrics either. It was a hit in pop and rock radios back home, and a personal chart-topper. A strong rock ballad that deserved better... 81. Stroke You Up (80): Very nice female vocals, and ok melody, but the male vocals ruined it...

Thanks! oops.Sorry about that. I though you did it on purpose as a joke for the song's tankers, and it kinda hurt. Glad to know I was wrong.

On the topic of I'll Take You There, I don't really hate it, I just think that it exists. Could be due to the fact that the '90s had much worse covers than that one (Ooh Child and the Total Eclipse of the Heart cover, more on that next year though) and the fact that I really don't have much of a connection with the original as I do with those other two songs I've mentioned.......not to mention the other reggae cover this year and I'm not talking about I Can See Clearly Now.
On another topic, I'm surprised Crash Test Dummies hasn't showed up yet. Definitely don't hate those guys but "Mmm Mmm Mmm Mmm" is the most inane song I've ever heard (and if we were judging this year-end by its song titles, it would most likely be my #102).
