Hmm, don't think I would have pegged it for a bottom 2 contender, but the fact that these next several songs are so close does make sense because it is a pretty strong album. It looks like it was more of a #10/11 contender that just got hella unlucky with the 3-way tie.

The fact that this could be second to last for practically the entire rankdown only to escape at the last second because of one person's severe over-rank is...unfortunate. "Good girls go to heaven, bad girls go everywhere"?! What a stupid hook 😂
However, this was the correct bottom 4 overall. Everything that remains is leagues above everything that just left!
Edit: I predict "Lucky Me, Lonely You" to leave next!

Literally WAT? "Good Girls Go to Heaven" slays! I can't believe it tied with an absolute pile of dogshit like "Deny, Deny, Deny." At least my rank was able to get 'Heaven' above that one in the tiebreaker.

“See Jane Dance” - On what is an otherwise solid album, this is one song that stands out like a sore thumb just as our host mentioned. This was the only correct choice for last place and three of us at least got that right.
“When She’s Gone, She’s Gone” - This is a great ballad that whenever I happen to revisit the album I always find myself wanting to hear. A tad bit disappointed that this left so soon, although I see it was tied in points with two other songs so I guess that’s a plus.
“Deny, Deny, Deny” - Meh, kind of an unmemorable song that more than not I remember skipping over often on the album.
“Good Girls Go to Heaven” - I always forget what a jam this is! Not something I seek out on its own, but enjoyable nonetheless.
While I'm feeling pretty confident in what songs will make up the top five, I'm less uncertain in which order the first five songs out in the top 10 will be. Anyways, here's me trying:
10. I Fall 9. Lucky Me, Lonely You 8. Unloved 7. My Heart is Lost to You (this can leave first for all I care lol) 6. Last Thing I Do
5. Go West (I'd be even happier if this made the top four!) 4. Every River 3. The Long Goodbye 2. Only in America 1. Ain’t Nothing About You

From the way the three last reveals were pushed back after my list, I definitely think I Fall is next. 😞 More shocking though, is that yall would've let it finish at 13 without my list.

Not totally shocked by this bottom 4 but I would’ve thought DDD would’ve been bottom 2.
“See Jane Dance” isn’t that much of a stand out to me, I thought it fit the album great and was a cool little jam.

Like ClevelandRox, I'm pretty disappointed to see lack of passion behind "I Fall". Don't let my ranking fool you; I love the ethereal production of this song.

Oooooooh... bboat11 ain't gonna be happy to see this! We lose multiple top fives and near top fives with the second Ronnie Dunn led song from the album. Personally, although it sounds very promising, it'll probably have to grow on me some more as I find the melody in the chorus to be quite lacking. EDIT: The song that broke the tie has a top three ranking, and is quite more polarizing too!

Alrighty y'all! So we're down to the five singles...
Only in America The Long Goodbye My Heart is Lost to You Ain't Nothin' 'Bout You Every River
.. and the top two album tracks!
Go West The Last Thing I Do
Which album track will reign supreme? Which single will be eliminated first?
Any guesses are welcome!

"I Fall" is a great song. I'm happy to see it in the top 5 album tracks at least!
I have always considered "Unloved" and "The Long Goodbye" to be two sides of the same coin for some reason. I'm not really sure why, but I feel like they are just very similar songs. Ronnie sounds fantastic on both, and his vocal really turns them into something special.....but "The Long Goodbye" is the obvious hit out of the two. "Unloved" sounds more like an album track. A great album track though!
SHOCKED "Lucky Me, Lonely You" has managed to do so well here! I guess once the song gets going it is really catchy, but the blooper reel at the beginning of the song where they can't seem to get the song started properly has always made me take the song less seriously.
I am SO glad that "Go West" is still in the running! I know "The Last Thing I Do" is a popular song, that does sound like it had hit potential, but I'd almost rather "Go West" ends up as the favorite album track here. It's one of the best tracks that Kix ever lead! It'll be particularly interesting to see if either of them are strong enough to push any of the singles out of the top 5. "My Heart Is Lost To You" is honestly the only single that I could see falling behind an album track, but it'll be close. It's not a very beloved single, but that doesn't necessarily mean much in these album rankdowns...

Pulling for "Go West" or to a slightly lesser extent "The Last Thing I Do" to take out a single or two before being out but it'll be damn hard as I don't think any of the singles are hated. "Only In America" out first for the singles please! I don't hate it but it's so blah compared to the rest.

I’m liking all of this love for “Go West”! It most definitely should come out ahead of “My Heart is Lost to You” which at this point is overstaying its welcome.

The first time I listened to this album 10ish years ago, I thought "The Last Thing I Do" had been a smash hit. It sounded like a smash hit, and tbh it sounded like such a smash that I was 90% sure I had heard it on the radio before...
I have since realized that the reason it sounded familiar was because they sang it live when I saw them with Sugarland in like 2007 😂
But anyway, this has classic B&D energy to it. And Ronnie Dunn's voice is perfect for it! I enjoy Montgomery Gentry's cover as well, but B&D definitely have the definitive version.

"The Last Thing I Do" is a classic B&D jam that for sure sounds like it had been a smash hit, so what is it doing leaving before "My Heart is Lost to You"??? Single bias prevails over the better album track yet again.

"Go West" has been of my go-to album tracks ever since I first heard it and so much so that I dang near put this as my top ranking song. It's a shame that both this and "The Last Thing I Do" ended up bowing out before the much loathed single "My Heart is Lost to You".

I've said it before and I'll say it again, "Go West" is one of my favorite Kix tracks of their entire career. Normally his voice sounds like a deflating balloon, but this song is perfect for his voice!!! It brings out all of his strengths as a vocalist, and makes him actually sound like a good singer! I know I'm too hard on Kix, but this really is a fantastic song. The baritone guitar that leads instrumental arrangement automatically grabs my attention from then beginning, just like I always say for every song that uses that instrument. And that melody is pure ear candy. I will have this one VERY high in their list of album tracks, if we do one for this series! Now here's my top 5 predictions: 5. "My Heart Is Lost To You" 4. "Every River" 3. "The Long Goodbye" 2. "Only In America" 1. "Ain't Nothin' 'Bout You" The amount of hate OIA has gotten the past couple days makes me aaaaaalmost want to switch it with TLG on my predictions, but I'm still thinking that the haters are still a vocal minority and the huge hit status will help propel it to the top 2 despite them. I'm here for a finish, tbh!!!!!!

I don't know I guess I've just always assumed this particular song wasn't viewed all to favorably, but obviously I'm quite mistaken.
