I know it's a hot topic right now but damn, it's kinda sad that the only attention the album is getting right now is the lawsuit. This is like the best kind of PR they can get! Controversy over absolutely nothing - and gets the public aware of new music. Absolutely nothing? 😂

Starts at 68 on Metacritic with 6 reviews. Currently tied with My World 2.0 and Believe as his highest rated album there.

The album is alright. It's better than Changes and I enjoy a few tracks. My favorite is "Deserve You".

The worst that will happen is there will be a lawsuit that will last a few months and be settled out of court. He won't be cancelled; there won't be any documentaries. But, the tabloid and clickbait will keep his name in the press with free publicity about his album. I'm still hoping an interviewer will ask what the inclusion of MLK on this album was for. I'd like to hear his answer.

It's a pleasant album. Seems like he's trying to appear more mature which is a good thing. But nothing here imo is above average.
Although it's a clear knockoff of Blinding Lights, "Die For You" should be next.

LOL. Brickseek told me there were no copies but I called the store and they said it was on the shelf and...it was! Fun fact: Daddy Urshurr has Executive Producer credit. Get that coin, Daddy! Also, the booklet says "ANGLES Speak" instead of Angels, LOLOL. It's accurate on the back cover. I wish Target didn't have the Satanic looking blood red color though.

OK. I am actually laughing at the fact that he put the MLK speech in the middle of this album, but you know what? I actually like this speech. I have never heard it before. So, I guess, maybe he is trying to give the MLK estate money in some misguided way? I mean, I can't think of any other reason that would make sense and the editing is sloppy between it and Die For You. Also, it is toooo abrupt to go from Civil Rights speech to 80's pastiche. LOLOL. A mess. Overall, this album confirmed the fact that R&Bieber is better than Pop Bieber. It doesn't really fit his vibe at all. Also, the vocal production and mixing is TERRIBLE. Sorry, y'all. But, Changes is the better album. In fact, I would say at this point Purpose and Believe are also better. That said, there are some songs I LOVE. My top 12 would have made a solid album. The last 4 were not needed at all. I give this a B. I NEEED your opinion, brother Wave.. Anyone (it's weird that this wound up being my favorite song on the album, but...here we are. #HillSongForeva) Loved By You (a hit for both Justin and Burna Boy. Justin is really out here with something to prove when it comes to pop guys, huh?) Love You Different (c'mon, Justin! He sounds so comfortable here. But, this is BEAM's spotlight. I want to hear more of him.) Off My Face (This is a career highlight, my GOD. I can see this being my favorite Justin Bieber song over time. Holy (it's the ON GOD! for me and Chance's...peculiar verse) Hold On Lonely (this is even more sad and beautiful than I remembered. also one of his best) Peaches (underestimated this. I can see why they put this out.) Ghost (this is really cool. A little sloppy like the rest of the album, but I like it. I love when Bieber does his CCM swag.) Somebody As I Am (beautiful, touching, love the layering, but sounds like it should be on My World or something, LOL. It also gives me Closer by Chainsmokers, so it sounds a little dated, on top of that. He and Khalid sound so good together, though!) Deserve You (cute, but not my fave. sounds like a radio smash, though) Unstable (interesting and great lyrics, but I don't like this style of music and that featured artist was not necessary) Angels Speak (he lost me with that la da da. I had this in my top 10 at one point, but it just kept getting worse) 2 Much (unnecessary, but he sounds great at least. Yes, the MLK critiques are valid. Da FUQ is that quote doing in front of THIS song? Does Hailey represent justice somehow?) Die For You (almost unlistenable. what in the Eurovision fuck is this? His voice does not suit this music at all. It's like an ugly tug-of-war. I can't even imagine Justin recording this. It sounds so cheap. I almost turned it off in the last minute. I was like Justin, where are you going with this??)

The MLK Interlude is the best thing on the album tbh.

I'm so pleased with this album! While Changes had like 3 songs I enjoyed, this is SO much better, on par with Purpose (nothing has touched Believe for me) Believe Purpose/Justice My World(s) Changes Can't wait to hear the exclusive/international tracks! Where would you rank "Journals"? It's sad how this album was so criminally slept on - being Bieber's first project to not spawn any hits whatsoever. OMG I always forget to include Journals as for some reason I stupidly don't "count it" even though I should (it does have my fave Bieber song EVER on it lol) Believe Purpose/Justice Journals My World(s) Changes

lAlthough it's a clear knockoff of Blinding Lights, "Die For You" should be next. really? I got huuuuuge “Prisoner” vibes from it, not BL. Jon Bellion wrote that too, lol “Loved By You” has such a clear Bellion influence, too. I love him

Watch this getting less Grammy noms than Changes despite being better album. But he is like Maroon 5 collecting the upcoming artists for his albums (and this time all male artists too).

The unnecessary cursing on Peaches pulled me out of the vibe. Yea, it's the best song here but could be sung by anyone tbh. Glad it's Bieber and not Chris Brown.

Lol, I strongly disagree with those who say this is better than Changes ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. With that said my favourite out of the new tracks are "Peaches" and "Somebody", with the former being my possible favourite from the entire project.

The unnecessary cursing on Peaches pulled me out of the vibe. bieber singing the words “bad ass bitch” on it has the same energy as a 10 year old saying “fuck” for the first time

I really like this album. After hearing the first 3 pre-album singles, I was going into this album with average expectations but the album turned out really good. Out of the first 3 singles, “Holy” grew on me over time, still can’t stand “Lonely” and I really like “Anyone.”
As for the tracks I just recently heard, I really love “Deserve You”, “As I Am”, “Die For You”, “Hold On”, and “Love You Different”.
The only tracks I didn’t care for were “Lonely” and “Peaches”. The latter of which is comically bad lyrically, but is catchy enough that by the final chorus I found myself singing along lol.
The MLK speeches were a very odd inclusion for a Justin Bieber album but they were good speeches that I haven’t heard from MLK before, so I’ll give him a pass on that.
I enjoyed both Believe and Purpose, but couldn’t get into Changes. However, Justice is a return to form for Bieber and I could see this becoming my favorite album from him. First new album of 2021 that I really enjoyed on first listen!

Holy and Lonely sound so...natural in the context of this album. Peaches sounds like a continuation of Changes. A few songs sound like Purpose leftovers (down to the return of Skrillex) and of the 80s songs, only Anyone and Hold On work. Oh, a few nice acoustic love songs. So, this is basically Bieber's Greatest Hits with some au courant 80's fetishizing moments. What an ODD album.

I've a feeling that cease & desist was promo planned by Scooter, that "T" was on Justice cover revealed 3 weeks ago but they didn't say anything until album release.... About why the album was named Justice when most songs are love songs "I named it Justice because there’s so much injustice in this world and there has been since the beginning of time […] My name [Justin] actually means justice, so there’s that." Still the interlude in the middle of the album is odd I skipped it after one listen it's not a big issue. https://www.instagram.com/p/CMnnPjLBzpT My favorites: As I Am, Unstable, Ghost (and radio just happened to pick these 3 plus Peaches to play this weekend). I think the 2nd half of Justice is strong with Ghost, Peaches, Loved by You, Lonely, Anyone when 2nd half tends to be weaker for many albums for ex Changes. If there's a 6th single I'm hoping Unstable for fall (though I keep changing my mind the single choices are definitely stronger than Changes)

Not bad, Justin!
Also, I definitely think that he has released the best songs from the album already, but the album is growing on me. Die For You is still a hot mess, but I at least can listen to it, laugh at it, and bop. It's so fucking CAMPY and cheap sounding and the pre-chorus kinda comes out of nowhere. I REALLY don't see how anyone could stan for this song. I fucking LOVE Hold On, though. What a vibe and he delivers it live every time. I also love Somebody more now. I think they could release it. It's so fucking euphoric, but I can see them not releasing it because it sounds like a more coked-up Hold On, so I don't know. It could wind up at the top of the album for me. Peaches is a vibe, too.

1. Purpose 2. Changes 3. Justice 4. Believe 5. Journals 6. My World 2.0
I don't think Justice is BAD, per se, but definitely not on the level as the 2 albums before it and I can smell the desperation from some of his team all over it. Hope it does well, though.
Edit: Pitchfork cites this as his best. Of course, they went in on him for using MLK Jr. the way he did but two things that annoyed me: they talk about the 80s influence but called Die For You "pop-rock" and cited Gotye as a writer, without mentioning he didn't technically write on the album.
