Terri Clark Album Series:
 Now that we are done with Faith Hill's album series, I am going to go ahead and introduce my next one! I have been teasing those who have been paying attention with this one for a loooooong time, so I am so excited that the moment has finally arrived! Terri Clark is a Canadian-born country music artist who rose to prominence in 1995. She is immediately recognizable thanks to her unique honky tonk style as well as the fact that she is almost never seen without her iconic signature cowboy hat! 🤠 Her debut single, "Better Things To Do", sailed straight up to #3 on the country charts in both the United States and Canada, establishing her right away as a powerful figure within the industry. For the next decade, she would go on to make huge waves, wracking up nearly a dozen top 10 hits in America and even more in Canada. Even when her commercial success waned in the U.S. midway through the 2000s, she continued to be wildly successful in Canada. She won the Fan's Choice Award at the CCMAs an astonishing EIGHT times (twice as many as Shania Twain, tbh!!), and Female Artist of the Year four times. Though she's barely passed 50 years old and considers herself to only be at the midpoint of her career, she is already a member of the Canadian Country Music Hall of Fame due to her influential body of work. Her induction was hosted by none other than Shania Twain. Terri has 11 (released) studio albums to her name, with her first Christmas album coming our way in less than 2 months. We will be ranking them all! Hopefully people are willing to give her a chance and dive into her material, because I am not even slightly exaggerating when I tell you that she is one of the most consistent and strong album artists in the entire industry. When I really started teasing this album series in the Country Rankdown Queue thread a couple months ago, I asked people which album they wanted to start with....and taylor is terrified is the only one who responded. Therefore, we will be beginning with her request, Life Goes On  This album is incredible! One of her strongest  I know for a fact that it is .indulgecountry's favorite at the very least. For me, it is probably my #2, right behind Pain To Kill, although tbh she has several that are right up there with them in quality so it is difficult to say for sure I am really looking forward to this one!!! |

I’ve actually been listening to Terri Clark lately for the first time in years. I forgot how much I love her voice, and think it’s a shame she wasn’t much bigger. I’ll likely do this one, but I’m only familiar with She Didn’t Have Time, so I’ll give it a few listens before making a list.

Unless the Big Brother feeds are FIRE after eviction (which I'm not hopeful lol), I'll be doing this tonight. I've loved almost every Terri Clark single I've ever heard, so good and so underrated, but I've never dived into her albums. I'm excited.  Oh boy, you're in for a TREAT!!!! I hope this rankdown doesn't turn into a case of "She could've tried, but she didn't have time" like so many other rankdowns turn into these days... There's quite a few rankdowns I need to submit for this week (Tanya, Kellie Part 2, Matraca Berg) but I'll get to this one, I promise! Especially since I'm the one that requested we start with this album saving all the big ones for this week, huh... Well, this album will be something to look forward to and cleanse your palette after you spend all week doing those giant rankdowns! (Also, Kellie will for sure be extended. Indie is going to spend the entirety of September revealing the top 5 of that Miranda album, the entirety of October, November, and December revealing Sara's Real Fine Place, and then still have to reschedule both Kellie rankdowns for sometime in 2021  ) |

I am SO excited to be finally starting this album series, and especially for us to dive into the results of such a perfect album as this one I'm really hopeful that some of you will be sharing your thoughts as we go along, so it's not just me having a one-man Terri Clark stan-fest  I could rant for hours about how great she is! But I'm much more interested in hearing what y'all think, especially because her albums will be new discoveries for so many of you! Edit: I mean, we all know that our alleged biggest Terri Clark fan Kanenrá:ke will not be commenting on anything until 2-3 weeks after the rankdown is finished So I need to rely on the rest of you even more! |
