www.billboard.com/articles/business/chart-beat/9435154/taylor-swift-folklore-third-week-no-1-billboard-200-chartTaylor Swift’s ‘Folklore’ Makes It a Third Week at No. 1 on Billboard 200 Chart8/16/2020 by Keith Caulfield Plus: Luke Bryan, Glass Animals and NLE Choppa debut in top 10. Taylor Swift’s Folklore reigns at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart for a third week – marking the first album by a woman to spend its first three weeks at No. 1 since 2018. Aided by the arrival of its CD version in stores, Folklore earned 136,000 equivalent album units in the U.S. in the week ending Aug. 13 (up 1%), according to Nielsen Music/MRC Data. The Billboard 200 chart ranks the most popular albums of the week in the U.S. based on multi-metric consumption as measured in equivalent album units. Units comprise album sales, track equivalent albums (TEA) and streaming equivalent albums (SEA). Each unit equals one album sale, or 10 individual tracks sold from an album, or 3,750 ad-supported or 1,250 paid/subscription on-demand official audio and video streams generated by songs from an album. The new Aug. 22-dated chart (where Folklore is steady at No. 1) will be posted in full on Billboard's website on Aug. 18. Of Folklore’s units earned in the latest tracking week, SEA units comprise 68,000 (down 33%, equaling 89.77 million on-demand streams of the album’s songs), album sales total 67,000 (up 119%) and TEA units equal 1,000 (down 45%). Folklore’s album sales grew dramatically courtesy of the set’s CD edition reaching brick-and-mortar stores and such online retailers as Amazon on Aug. 7. The album was previously only available via Swift’s official webstore and digital retailers such as iTunes. Folklore is the fourth album to spend at least three weeks at No. 1 in 2020, following Lil Baby’s My Turn (five weeks), The Weeknd’s After Hours (four) and Roddy Ricch’s Please Excuse Me for Being Antisocial (three in 2020; four in total, as the album had one week at No. 1 in 2019). Folklore is the first non-R&B/hip-hop album, or album of any genre by a woman, to tally three weeks in total at No. 1 since Billie Eilish’s When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? scored its third (and so far) final nonconsecutive week at No. 1 on the June 18, 2019-dated chart. Notably, Folklore is the first album by a woman to spend its first three weeks at No. 1 since Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper’s A Star Is Born soundtrack tallied its first three frames atop the list (Oct. 20-Nov. 3, 2018). Star clocked one more week at No. 1, on the March 9, 2019 chart. The last album by a woman, unaccompanied by another act, to spend its first three weeks at No. 1 was Swift’s own Reputation. It bowed atop the Dec. 2, 2017-dated chart, and ruled for the next two frames. It returned for a fourth nonconsecutive week in charge on the Jan. 6, 2018 chart. At No. 2 on the new Billboard 200, Juice WRLD’s Legends Never Die rises one spot with 117,000 equivalent album units earned (up 33%). The former No. 1 surges following the release of the new song “Smile,” with The Weeknd, which was added to the album’s track list during the tracking week. The album also gets a boost from an array of new merchandise/album bundles sold via Juice WRLD’s webstore. Pop Smoke’s former No. 1 Shoot for the Stars Aim for the Moon falls 2-3 with 92,000 equivalent album units earned (down 5%), while Rod Wave’s Pray 4 Love vaults 23-4 with 75,000 units (up 258%). Pray 4 Love’s gain is owed to its reissue on Aug. 7 with 11 additional tracks. The set was first released on April 3 as a 14-track album. Pray 4 Love is one of over 10 notable R&B or hip-hop albums released in 2020 that have been reissued in a deluxe format with additional tracks. Country superstar Luke Bryan lands his 11th top 10 album as Born Here Live Here Die Here debuts at No. 5 with 65,000 equivalent album units earned. Of that sum, 48,000 were in album sales ( aided by a concert ticket/album sale redemption offer with his upcoming tour), while SEA units total 14,000 (equaling 19.68 million on-demand streams of the set’s songs) and TEA units total 2,000.Bryan got his first top 10 album on the Billboard 200 with Doin’ My Thing, which peaked at No. 6 in 2009. He then reached the top 10 with Tailgates & Tanlines (No. 2, 2011), Spring Break 4… Suntan City (EP) (No. 9, 2012), Spring Break… Here to Party (No. 1, 2013), Crash My Party (No. 1, 2013), Spring Break 6… Like We Ain’t Ever (EP) (No. 2, 2014), Spring Break… Checkin’ Out (No. 3, 2016), Kill the Lights (No. 1, 2015), Farm Tour: Here’s to the Farmer (EP) (No. 4, 2016) and What Makes You Country (No. 1, 2017). The original Broadway cast recording of Hamilton: An American Musical falls 4-6 with 61,000 equivalent album units (down 6%). Alternative rock band Glass Animals achieves its first top 10 album as Dreamland arrives at No. 7 with 60,000 equivalent album units earned. Of that sum, album sales total 43,000, while SEA units total 17,000 (equaling 21.8 million on-demand streams of the album’s songs) and a TEA units total a negligible figure. The album’s sales were assisted by merchandise/album bundles sold via the band’s website, as well as a concert ticket/album sale redemption offer with a series of shows that took place in early 2020, as well as a couple upcoming gigs.Glass Animals previously topped out on the chart at No. 20 with How to Be a Human Being in 2016. DaBaby’s former No. 1 Blame It on Baby is pushed back 6-8 despite a 23% increase to 52,000 equivalent album units earned. The set continues to benefit from its deluxe reissue on Aug. 4 with 10 additional tracks. Lil Baby’s previous leader My Turn dips 5-9 with 47,000 equivalent album units (down 6%). Rapper NLE Choppa closes out the top 10 as his Top Shotta album bows at No. 10 with 36,000 equivalent album units earned. SEA units represent 27,000 of that sum (equaling 44.59 million on-demand streams of the set’s songs), while album sales total 9,000 (goosed by an array of merchandise/album bundles) and a negligible TEA figure.Top Shotta is promoted as NLE Choppa’s first studio album. He previously hit the Billboard 200 with the Cottonwood mixtape, which peaked at No. 57 on the Jan. 4-dated chart.

I wasn't aware that Legends Never Die had new bundles, but explains its sudden surge in pure sales. Otherwise, it will probably have been #3 this week.
Also, Luke Bryan did have a ticket album bundle after all. I do believe most of his previous albums had those as well, even if their Billboard 200 articles don't mention them. One thing that's notable is that the album's songs despite being new didn't outstream the tsongs from the two Luke Combs' albums and Morgan Whallen's album.

Also, will Folklore's numbers this week, it should have entered the top 10 in the Billboard 200 YTD 2020 race.

‘Hamilton’ Logs 29th Week in the Top 10 on the Billboard 200, Longest Run for a Cast Album Since ‘Hello, Dolly!’ 8/17/2020 by Paul Grein
'Hello, Dolly!' and 'Hamilton' were the biggest Broadway blockbusters of the decades in which they first appeared. The original Broadway cast recording of Hamilton: An American Musical logs its 29th (nonconsecutive) week in the top 10 on the Billboard 200—the longest cumulative run by any cast recording since the Broadway cast album to Hello, Dolly! was a fixture in the top 10 for 35 consecutive weeks from March 4, 1964 to Oct. 31, 1964.
Hamilton surpasses the cast album to Hair, which logged 28 consecutive weeks in the top 10 in 1969.
Hello, Dolly! and Hamilton were the biggest Broadway blockbusters of the decades in which they first appeared. Hello, Dolly! opened on Jan. 16, 1964 and ran for 2,844 performances. It was, for a time, the longest-running Broadway musical in history. Hamilton opened on Aug. 6, 2015 and had run 1,919 performances as of March 11, 2020 when Broadway shut down due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Hello, Dolly! won 10 Tony Awards, including best musical. Hamilton swept 11, also including best musical.
The Hello, Dolly! cast album topped the Billboard 200 in June 1964, on the first chart following that year’s Tony Awards (which were held on May 24 that year). The album’s rise to No. 1 ended a 16-week lock on the top spot by The Beatles. (That was the Fab Four’s longest continuous hold on the top spot.)
Hamilton has had a series of peaks. It debuted at No. 12 in October 2015, reached a new peak of No. 11 in May 2016 amid the buzz over its record-setting 16 Tony nominations, another new peak of No. 3 in June 2016 following the Tony Awards, and yet another new peak of No. 2 last month after Disney+ premiered the filmed version of the Broadway show.
The title song from Hello, Dolly! became a No. 1 single on the Billboard Hot 100 in a cover version by Louis Armstrong (who was not in the Broadway show but would have a cameo in the 1969 film version). ). “Hello, Dolly!” won a Grammy for song of the year, one of only three Broadway songs ever to win in that category, along with “What Kind of Fool Am I?” from Stop the World – I Want to Get Off and “Send in the Clowns” from A Little Night Music.
Other well-known songs from the show include “Before the Parade Passes By,” “Put on Your Sunday Clothes” and “It Only Takes a Moment.”
None of the songs from Hamilton became hits in the traditional sense, though several are well-known, including “My Shot,” “Room Where It Happens,” “Who Lives, Who Dies, Who Tells Your Story” and “Yorktown (The World Turned Upside Down),” which includes the crowd-igniting line "immigrants (we get the job done)."
Hamilton won a Grammy for best musical theater album. Hello, Dolly!, surprisingly, did not. It lost to the Funny Girl cast album. This represented a reversal of fortunes from the Tony Awards, where Dolly! beat Funny Girl in five categories – including best musical and best actress in a musical (Carol Channing over Barbra Streisand). At the Grammys, unlike the Tonys, Streisand (who had won two gramophones for her debut album the previous year) had home-court advantage.
Neither Dolly! nor Hamilton received a Grammy nomination for album of the year, though both albums probably came close. Dolly! was voted into the Grammy Hall of Fame in 2002. Hamilton will almost certainly join it as soon as it becomes eligible in 2040 (25 years after its release).
Lin-Manuel Miranda was 35 when Hamilton—for which he wrote book, music and lyrics—opened on Broadway. Jerry Herman was even younger, just 32, when Hello, Dolly! – for which he wrote music and lyrics – opened. Both of these creative artists were born in New York City. Herman died in December 2019 at age 88.
If Hamilton logs six more weeks in the top 10, it will tie Dolly! for the longest run in the top 10 by a cast album since August 1963, when Billboard combined separate stereo and mono charts into one comprehensive chart.
Before that, when there were multiple album charts, several cast albums had even longer runs in the top 10. Here are three of the most prominent examples. My Fair Lady had 173 weeks in the top 10. The Sound of Music had 105. The Music Man had 66.
As a bonus, here’s a timeline of the longest-running Broadway musicals since Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Oklahoma!, which revolutionized Broadway musicals when it opened in March 1943. The title of longest-running musical in Broadway history went from Oklahoma! to My Fair Lady to Hello, Dolly! to Fiddler on the Roof to Grease to A Chorus Line to Cats to the current record-holder, The Phantom of the Opera.

The effort, which was previously only available as digital download, jumps back onto the chart after its CD edition was released on Aug. 7. Map of the Soul: 7 – The Journey was released via Virgin/UMe and earned 28,000 equivalent album units in the U.S. in the week ending Aug. 13 (up 1,439%) according to Nielsen Music/MRC Data. The Billboard 200 chart ranks the most popular albums of the week in the U.S. based on multi-metric consumption as measured in equivalent album units. The new Aug. 22-dated chart (where Map of the Soul: 7 – The Journey re-enters at No. 14) will be posted in full on Billboard's website on August 18th. Of Map of the Soul: 7 – The Journey’s total of 28,000 units for the week, 26,000 were in album sales, while the rest comprise TEA and SEA units. The album spent one prior week on the chart, dated July 25, entering at No. 115 with 8,000 equivalent album units earned, following its digital and streaming release on July 14. All told, Map of the Soul: 7 – The Journey is the seventh top 40-charting album, and sixth top 20 title, for BTS. The act previously visited the top 40 with Wings (No. 26, 2016), Love Yourself: Her (No. 7, 2017), Love Yourself: Tear (No. 1, 2018), Love Yourself: Answer (No. 1, 2018), Map of the Soul: Persona (No. 1, 2019) and Map of the Soul: 7 (No. 1, 2020). All of the group’s previous top 40 efforts were Korean-language titles (with moments of English sprinkled throughout). BTS has released four Japanese-language albums, and Map of the Soul: 7 – The Journey is the second to reach to the Billboard 200. It follows the group’s previous Japanese effort, Face Yourself, which debuted and peaked at No. 43 in 2018. Map of the Soul: 7 – The Journey also reaches No. 1 for the first time on the World Albums chart, landing BTS its 10th leader on the tally.
