A new era of Pulse Survivor is upon us. A brand new season is in the works and Pulse Survivor: Tonga winner Nick P is joining me for the ride as my new co-host.
How It Works:
Just like the CBS series, the game will last for 39 days and will typically play out in 3-day cycles. The first day will consist of an immunity challenge. The second day will consist of the reveal of the immunity challenge winner(s) and voting for Tribal Council will begin. The third day will consist of that cycle's Tribal Council where one or more players will be voted out of the game.
At the beginning of the game, players will be divided into tribes that will be determined prior to the start of the game. During this phase of the game, immunity will be won by a tribe and the losing tribe will go to Tribal Council and vote someone out of the game. The tribes will merge at some point during the game and it will then became an individual game. The jury will begin to form at the merge. The members of the jury will be tasked with voting for the winner of the game among the season's finalists.
Rules:
Each tribe will have their own private message where the members of the tribe are to communicate among each other. You can create PMs for your alliances as well. You are not permitted to talk to members of the opposing tribe or post in the main thread. The main thread should be limited to reactions to the challenges and tribal council votes. All game talk and strategy must stick to the PMs and I must be joined in all chains. In addition, all players will have a PM with me for confessionals, challenge submissions and Tribal Council votes.
Immunity challenges will have a strict 24-hour deadline. If you do not submit in time, you will be disqualified from the challenge. This would negatively affect your tribe's score in the team challenges or completely eliminate you from the running for immunity once the merge kicks in. Some challenges will feature rewards and advantages.
There will be Hidden Immunity Idols. Hidden Immunity Idols must be played before the votes are read. You will need to express your desire to play a Hidden Immunity Idol with your vote for Tribal Council. If a Hidden Immunity Idol is played, all votes for that person do not count and the person with the next highest amount of votes will be eliminated.
Voting for each cycle's Tribal Council will also have a strict deadline. If you do not meet the 24-hour deadline for voting, your vote will be cast against you. If there is a tie, either a challenge between the tied contestants or the drawing of rocks will take place. The player that loses the challenge or draws the purple rock will be eliminated from the game.
Once you have been voted out of the game, you are not permitted to post in the main thread or in any PM chains. Jurors will be able to correspond with each other at Ponderosa. Everyone will be able to share their thoughts on the season once it has been completed.
The hope is to have the Final Tribal Council and the winner reveal play out live. Each finalist will be permitted to make an opening statement. Then, each juror will be able to ask the finalists a question and/or make a statement. After each juror gets a stab at the finalists, the finalists will then each make a closing statement. The jurors will then vote for the Sole Survivor and the result will be revealed. All jurors must vote in the Final Tribal Council. Adjustments might be made if all participants cannot make it to the finale.
Rules will be added prior to the start of the game or during the game if necessary.
If you sign-up to play, please plan to remain active throughout your duration in the game. You will be removed from the game if you have too much inactivity.
