The promotional single off Mariah's most recent studio album from 2018, the highly acclaimed Caution, was released this day two years ago.
This electro-R&B track was written by Mariah Carey and was produced by her and Nineteen85. It was a smash in Greece (#5), Spain (#6) and the Billboard US R&B Charts (#4).

I was extremely underwhelmed by this as the lead from the album, but I can enjoy it in the context of the album.

Tbh, I remember the day that this debuted, like it was yesterday. It coincided with one of the best moments in my career and I remember that day starting out in the best way possible, me getting some amazing news, and I was really stoked to hear Mariah's hot new single that would be the icing on the cake.
And then this dropped... 😒
One of the most disappointing Mariah releases for me. And as much as I love the album I still don't like this song. It's a borefest, the instrumental is the same 2 chords repeated throughout and she drains the song out of the little life it's left with by giving it that whisper vocal (literally only the "bulldozed my heart as if you planned it" line is well sung to me).
The only good thing about this track is the video. It's well shot, nevermind the lack of a storyline. She looks BOMB. Each and every look is an A+. I like the Brigitte Bardot headband look best, she was SERVING.

Minnie Mouse's best vocal performance thus far.

The melody is what gets me. Her voice sounds weak as hell on it though.

It's definitely very understated, but so is the album that it's from. It's not a bad song, I guess. I don't mind it.

I love the attitude but her vocals were iffy The Distance, Caution, and A No No were THE songs of the album

Minnie Mouse's best vocal performance thus far. Wow. I don’t think I will ever hear this song the same way ever again LOL Love it in the context of the album but really wish it would’ve been a teaser single if anything and pushed caution instead but when all is said and done I still spin the album and love it

It's funny because I didn't care for this when it was first put out as a single. "With You" was my favorite of the singles before the album was released, but once I got the album, "GTFO" became my favorite and I've listened to the most from Caution easily.

I like it. Sonically it was a great introduction to the album, and her whispery voice actually works on a song like this. However, there are some songs from Caution that I think are better.
