As of right now, Youtube videos have decreased among the english-speaking countries. Spotify is currently the top streaming platform and will artists start to release music videos there to get bigger promotion? Will Spotify be the next go-to place for music videos?

but YouTube is still #2 or #3 website in the world overall. It's not going anywhere.

Absolutely. I believe they've been quietly testing it even (remember Starboy's video was present for a short while) and have dipped their toes in it a bit with the vertical video trend. With as competitive as the music streaming service war is, it's only a matter of time before one of them adds official music videos to their roster to battle YouTube Music, and I would put money down on Spotify being the first one to do so. but YouTube is still #2 or #3 website in the world overall. It's not going anywhere. Even if music videos stopped being present on the site, that would still be the case. YouTube always has and always will be about way more than music videos.

Bump
I made this thread almost 3 years ago and I absolutely think Spotify should include official music videos right now since Youtube views have been falling off and more fluctuation in the Spotify charts.

Spotify has been publishing mv's and verticals for quite a while though?
YouTube is the biggest music platform for Latin America but declining steeply in the Anglosphere... just compare the massive views for Latin music compared to English language

I believe Youtube is also declining in Latin America. The fact that the most viewed music videos remain those of 2010-2018 tells a lot, and also latin artists keep increasing their streams in Spotify. That said, they still get healthy streams on Youtube. I believe this is completely normal as Spotify is the most popular service and this generates a call effect. And also they don't shove you two advertisments in the beggining of each song (in spoty free you can listen up to 30 minuts without adverts, and in the computer you can choose the song). Also being able to do other things in the phone while listening is a strenght.
That said, this is not the death of youtube. People use it for other things, just not anymore for officialy released music
