Didn’t expect this one to be so polarizing on here, lol.
The guitar riffs in the chorus really elevate the song for me. Without it I think I would like this a lot less tbh. This sounds like a Jana Kramer album track tbh (which really isn’t a bad thing).

I actually like this song as it doesn't feel as polished as a typical song on the radio like you would typically expect especially from a new female, like her voice while not anything amazing stands out for me for being very emotive without the bombast and power and the same with the production which doesn't have the usual bells and whistles in a typical radio singles which makes it stand out in a good way. It is nothing amazing, but this song overall works very well.

Yeah, I just took a listen to this and I'm gonna join the dark side on this one and say that I have no clue why this is blowing up like it is. Priscilla, while not a flat-out terrible singer, reminds me of debut-era Taylor Swift in that her (Priscilla's) voice at this point is still painfully mediocre. The lyrics are nothing groundbreaking at all and are in fact rather generic and been-there-listened-to-that for me. And that production...yikes. I'd be open to hearing more from her in the future but as it stands I'm rather displeased at the success. I'm 100% here for women being successful in this industry, but for incredible vocalists like Cam, Mickey Guyton & Kacey Musgraves to continue being paid absolute dust by country radio only for country radio to drool all over a song like this from an artist with a rather mediocre voice flabbergasts and lowkey angers me.

Surprised to see lukewarm responses to this. This is a really great song! Melody is fantastic, she has a really good voice, and I also like the lyrics. I don’t know why this is blowing up either but I’m really happy about it

Count me among those enjoying this one. This is a solid debut and seems like a safe choice for radio. It’s catchy, has nice guitar licks reminding me of the early 2010’s, and a strong melody. I’m all for this one breaking out, and it looks like it’s off to a great start.

Also moved up 7 spots to #45 on Billboard tonight and was in the Top 10 of audience gains as well on Billboard. So refreshing to see a new female artist take off like this and this song continues to grow on me. So excited for this to hopefully smash in 2021.

Does her voice remind anyone of Jana Kramer?

Does her voice remind anyone of Jana Kramer? I think Jana Kramer has a great voice, so it's a no from me.

Does her voice remind anyone of Jana Kramer? The style of the song reminded me more of Jana Kramer than her voice, but I just re-listened and I can definitely hear similarities.

Does her voice remind anyone of Jana Kramer? Yeah, I hear that. I also hear a tad bit of RaeLynn, except with a much more palatable tone.

"Just About Over You" makes it's official Mediabase debut at #46 with a bullet of 77. I still find it great to see a woman succeed out of the gate with a debut single like we are seeing here.
I get the complaint about her voice but I still think she has a solid voice and imo I don't mind the fact that she doesn't have this huge strong voice that carries notes like say Carrie Underwood as at least with this song Priscilla Block plays to her strengths and knows her limits it feels like and doesn't do anything too ridiculous.

They released the music video for her song "Thick Thighs":
Anyways "Just About Over You" continues to do well on the chart up to #42 on Billboard this past week. and this week on Mediabase she got 5 more adds, gained 58 spins, and 175k in audience this week as she should land at #45 tonight on Mediabase.

Is this still streaming well? I just wonder because the sales have completely fallen off. I know radio took to it pretty quickly, but I wonder if it might run the risk of flaming out early yet because the virality of it seems to have worn off.

The original version has about 5 million streams on Spotify and over 500,000 views on YouTube audio wise, while the radio edit has over 1 million streams on Spotify and just under 20,000 views on YouTube. I am unsure if that is a positive indication for this song streaming wise just fyi. That being said I don't really see a quick flameout for this song given how young this song is and it still picking up a solid amount of adds/gains since it's chart run.

I know, but I'm saying radio jumped on this one in a hurry because they saw it going viral and it seems like now that the dust has settled, we're not seeing a high impact hit here. It started out looking like a possible smash, but the way its numbers have retreated has me feeling like this one is gonna potentially flame out earlier than we expected given the fast start. Not saying I think it's about done or anything just yet, but the current streaming/sales figures certainly aren't looking promising for long-term success.

I will say "Just About Over You" actually had a pretty solid week considering how tough this week was on the chart in general as Priscilla Block gained 35 spins and 86k in audience this week and moves up another spot to #44 on Mediabase.
It's not a lot is still not bad as this song has a higher bullet this week than the latest singles from Dustin Lynch, Jordan Davis, Florida Georgia Line, Maren Morris, Jake Owen, Old Dominion, Kenny Chesney, Lady A, Runaway June, and Rascal Flatts all acts that are a lot more established with radio than Priscilla Block.
Obviously this could flame out, but the fact that this song managed a semi decent week when this week had an iHeartMedia debut with Thomas Rhett and Russell Dickerson going for a second week at #1 clobbering a lot of spins does make me think this song is in it for the long haul, radio is at least somewhat excited for (since going for adds 6 weeks ago this song has 36 additional stations and has never dipped below 4 adds) and could be a major sleeper hit of 2021 and with the right promo/music video I can easily see the sales/streams reigniting pretty easily.

Finally listened to this and I'm on Team "Generic and I don't understand why it would go viral". But good luck to her, hope there is stuff I like in the future.

Entered the Billboard Top 40 last night at #40 gaining 3 spots from last week becoming her first Top 40 single on country radio.
I will say this song making it to the Top 40 in 10 weeks still seems to indicate a really good interest from radio especially since she is a new female artist and this song's sales seems to be stabilizing with this in the 500s all genre on iTunes. Not great, but not bad at all.

Song is okay; a little generic for a newer artist. A song like this imo sounds like something that would come from a more established act if they wanted to go on autopilot. Will say if this turns out to be a hit while solo stuff from Lauren Alaina keeps getting overlooked I'll be a little disappointed.

She released a new song "I Bet You Wanna Know" today and has already climbed to #4 on the iTunes Country songs and #16 all genre
Anyways "Just About Over You" continues to hang around in the 40s not doing much after a fast start, but still plenty of time for this to be a hit not to mention the music video has only been out for about a month and a half and has already been viewed over 1.2 million times on YouTube.

Sorry for the double post, but this song finally seems to have a bit of a spark ignited after the last couple of months or so of not much movement, as this set a new peak of #42 on Mediabase gaining 54 spins and 689k in audience this week and getting 3 adds this week, while also gaining a spot on Billboard to #41 gaining 292k in audience and besides Blake Shelton and Justin Moore this song gained the most audience of all the songs below the Top 30.
With Blake Shelton expected to have an iHeartMedia hangover, and at least 1 to 4 of Brothers Osborne, Blake Shelton/Gwen Stefani, Lady A, and Russell Dickerson looking to possibly going recurrent I imagine "Just About Over You" will re-enter the Top 40 on Billboard and stay there for good.

Sorry for the triple post. I just want to say that I am still feeling optimistic about this song as it has gotten up to #35 on Billboard this past week, and has gotten 18 adds on Mediabase the past 4 weeks. In general it is refreshing to me to see a new female artist rise up the charts on her debut single with no OTV, even if after listening to this song a bunch I am still struggling to hear why she is so polarizing here.
Also despite not selling much on iTunes the music video on YouTube has gotten over 2 million views in 3 months which is pretty impressive.

I've been hearing this more and more and I will say it is totally a jam on the radio. Umm, and, it's always just.... nice to have a female voice broken up between the millions of men in a row. It sounds great in the car; I'm for it. No it isn't the greatest song, but if the guys are allowed to have just truly awful songs hit #1 then I'm okay with something just okay from a woman heading there too. It feels like something that won't wear on me too much.

I liked her when this song came out, but the more I’ve listened to her stuff the more I enjoy her. Her new EP is pretty good imo. Between her, Lainey Wilson, and Carley Pearce’s new stuff I think there’s some good up and coming females. I know there more than them, but their music comes across as real and authentic to me.

Enters the Top 30 on Billboard this week at #30. Definitely glad this song has kept doing overall decent job.
I will say her recent EP does make me think of her as a bit of a female Jason Aldean and that is no further proven then the song "Wish You Were The Whiskey" which does sound like a female Jason Aldean song but in a good way.

A month later and this finally enters the Mediabase Top 30 at #30 with a bullet of 40. This song has had a bit of a funk spending so much time in the 30s on both charts, but I do hope now that this is Top 30 on both charts it can start making some more progress. It is also odd this song on YouTube has almost 4 million views for the music video and can also hold it's own on the Hot Country Songs Chart (#38 this week which isn't bad) and yet it can't seem to sell well at all on iTunes. Very odd imo.
