Couldn't find a post about this... Great first single she just released after her Thick Thighs. Easy #1 hit for country radio. Just from a few videos she writes alot of songs ,, Can't wait to hear more

This is not an official radio single nor is she signed so this can probably be moved to the Country News thread.
Though I will say I would be surprised if someone doesn't at least bite at the fact she was #1 all genre on iTunes for a couple days straight just from Tik Tok.

She seems to have a nice enough voice and I'm happy for her that her song took off for her despite being independent, but this song sounds so painfully low budget that it's almost comical. This is just awful. I was excited to listen to this given the circumstances, but now I'm just confused why this of all things blew up.

I loved Thick Thighs and I quite like PMS as well, but this one sounds quite generic to me!

Over 3 million streams on Spotify, and it previously hit #1 on iTunes, so I suppose it's a good move. I don't expect this to get big on radio, but we'll see.

Signed. They wouldn’t just promo one single. Too expensive.

The re recorded this from It’s original right? Or did Ross produce that?

It was crowdfunded so it’s a new recording.

I'm happy she got signed and this performed well on itunes, but first few listens and I don't get why this blew up. We'll see if this will grow on me.

I remember thinking the original had terrible production so maybe I'll like this now that it's been re-recorded on a major label.

I liked her 2 other songs more than this one to be honest, but excited she is getting a proper re-recording and release with this one.

I know it's easy for singles to chart with how many housecleanings there has been lately but very impressive of this song to debut a full week before adds. I am very excited to see how successful Priscilla Block and this song does as I kind of like this song and I am excited for how successful she is as imo she kind of stands out in the sea of new women for country music.

Sorry for the double post but don't be shocked if this song becomes a big hit. Right now this song is at #80 all genre on iTunes and the YouTube audio is already over a million views. There just feels like there is this buzz to Priscilla Block and this song is going to be huge. Just the vibe I am getting.

The new version sounds better, and I am glad that she got a deal. However I find the lyrics completly generic and bland, I hope they release an EP or something if this gets to top 30 to see what else she has in store, cause I really like her voice.

The launch and initial reception of this remind me a lot of "I Hope"... I think this will be just as big, if not bigger, and will almost certainly cross over to Pop and the ACs next year.

Except "I Hope" took a while to chart while this song has charted before its add date. Looking up for Priscilla!

I remember thinking the original had terrible production so maybe I'll like this now that it's been re-recorded on a major label. Heard the new version now and I continue to be shocked this is taking off. I think this is pretty bad and her voice is really mediocre and the whole thing reminds me of one of those songs you get from a cheap indie act that gets like 3,000 plays on Spotify. Crazy that radio will let talented ladies like Mickey Guyton, Lindsay Ell, and Cam all flounder with their latest singles but this takes off? I don't get it. I know there's some viral TikTok buzz around this girl's song, but... I don't get that either. This sucks, lol.

I think it's catchy enough (I find myself NOT skipping it when it comes on playlists) but I do agree that it's strange that it's moving at female artist A-List speeds. Like, three weeks to reach top 50 (and two since impact) is..... lightning speed for women.

Ok the new version is much improved...but it's still pretty bad. I really don't care for the way she sings, it's not that she's a horrible singer, but it's so unremarkable, no character and her phrasing is odd and distracting. Lyrically this is feels very basic, like a first attempt at songwriting.
Good for her and whoever likes the song, I'll be open to hearing more from her in the future now that she's signed to a major label who can guide her to better songs but this one is a hard pass from me. Possibly the worst female single for me since "Ridiculous".

It really felt like I was the only one who seemed to not understand the appeal of this in the slightest. It's rare for me to just flat-out dislike a single from a female artist, but this is definitely one of those times. You also expressed in a bit more detail than I delivered all the exact problems I also have with it that lead me to the same opinion.
