Not sure I would be doing the Christmas one, but could you please keep tagging me on this series? Looks like I missed the whole bunch this year...

What will be #1? I think I gotta give this one to Lee Ann Womack! Possibly also Carly Pearce, although her version of "Mary" is basically a carbon-copy of Reba's with less noteworthy vocals.
What will be #10? Brett Young's "Silver Bells", lmao. This man should not be touching Christmas music with a 39 1/2 foot pole...
What will be the most polarizing song? I'm thinking Rascal Flatts' "Jingle Bell Rock", as they tend to be a pretty polarizing group in general, and this song just sounds like it might generate extreme feelings one way or another in a way that I can't really attribute to anything else here. Also I guess maybe Vince, because this version of "What Child Is This" was simultaneously beautiful and more boring than most of this list...
What will make up the Top 3? "The Man With The Bag", "Mary, Did You Know", and I'll go ahead and give #3 to Jamie O'Neal! "Christmas You" is cute, although may not universal enough to win.
What will make up the Bottom 3? "Silver Bells", "Thank God For Kids", and "Jingle Bell Rock".

What will be #1? My guess would be Lee Ann Womack. I could also see Carly Pearce coming close.
What will be #10? "Thank God For Kids"
What will be the most polarizing song? "Jingle Bell Rock" or "What Child Is This"
What will make up the Top 3?"The Man With The Bag", "Mary, Did You Know", and maybe "Santa Claus Is Coming To Town".
What will make up the Bottom 3? "Thank God For Kids", "What Child Is This" and maybe "Jingle Bell Rock".

Christmas Music RD is always hard to predict. I basically have something like A tier to E tier, from Fav to Pass for most of the major Christmas songs, and unless a singer really butcher the song, the song would stay in that tier. For instance, O Holy Night is an A tier song, and Mary Did You Know is an E tier song to me, so in barely any circumstances would I rank the former lower than the latter, even thought Carly's version was not too bad.

Off to a great start! "Silver Bells" is an awesome song that isn't covered to death like some of the others. So it's actually pretty impressive how much Brett Young managed to ruin it!

Don't get the hate. I think he did a great job with this one.
"Thank God for Kids" better be next.

I'm gonna post the rest tomorrow!
Expected "Thank God For Kids" to be in 10th place so I am happy to see it do better than 10th, even if it is only 1 spot higher.
Brett Young's version of "Silver Bells" is embarrassingly bad. Disappointed to see Luke Bryan escape the Bottom 2 though

Brett Young's "Silver Bells" is not the best version, the beat was a little weird, but I still like this song (B tier) and Brett's vocal, so I definitely did not want to see it as the last spot.
"Thank God For Kids," on the other hand, was pretty boring.

I did not really get the hate for "O Holy Night," it is my favorite ballad holiday song, and I think Luke did a solid cover. His vocal sounds pleasant, and he did not mess up with the production, like Brett Young. I guess some posters may have found the song itself to be boring?

His vocal sounds pleasant, and he did not mess up with the production, like Brett Young. I guess some posters may have found the song itself to be boring?Lol I'm pretty sure nobody actively dislikes "O Holy Night" as a song. It's got to be because Luke Bryan is one of the least inspiring vocalists of all time... My thoughts going into "O Holy Night" here were "lmao how funny we have the most vocally challenging Christmas song being sung by the least capable vocalist this'll be interesting lolol".....and then, he actually did pretty great with it!?!! Like, this is easily one of his best vocals on record! There is still absolutely no reason to revisit it when you could listen to powerhouses like Martina/Carrie/Celine/Sara/Lauren, or hell even Chris Young if you're looking for a powerhouse male version. But I was still very impressed with Luke here! I like "Thank God For Kids" too, but it easily fell towards the bottom of my list just based on the strength of other things. It has that certain very specific type of cheese factor that Pulse almost never goes for. "Jingle Bell Rock" is a fun song, and Rascal Flatts did alright with it. While I enjoyed it enough to escape my bottom 3, I tend to prefer more traditional renditions of this one, like George and Alan.

Beautiful rendition of "What Child Is This"! I would totally revisit this. Compared to everything that is left, however, I just couldn't rank it any higher than #6...
This top 5 is pretty expected and immaculate, overall! I am thrilled to see Martina make it, considering that her 2018 Christmas Vocals are not nearly as noteworthy as her 1999 Christmas Vocals...

Oh wow!! There's a shock! I expected "Mary Did You Know" to be a top 2 contender, based partly on Carly's name power for sure but also because this version is pretty good!
"Mary" is one of my favorite Christmas songs in the right hands (like Reba and Dolly), and borderline unlistenable in the wrong hands (Kenny R/Wynonna), but Carly's falls more towards the top end of that spectrum. She just doesn't have the vocal chops to make this song quite as epic of an experience as someone like Reba does (which is kinda ironic because her arrangement is pretty similar to Reba's imo, minus the full outro in Carly's). And I think that opinion might be pretty widely held, based on the fact that Reba WON last year's edition of this series with this song, and tbh I don't think there's anything this year that would have been able to beat her either. But that's just me speculating now. Either way, Carly's version of this gets a thumbs up from me, #8 rank notwithstanding!

Mary Did You Know, unfortunately, is not my favorite holiday song. Carly did a solid job tho.
Martina sounds great again with Santa Clause Is Coming To Town, even though I wish we got to rank her other tunes, like O Come or Herald Angels, which are better songs than Santa.
