She comes off like a shtick. I donβt see her having longevity. She's an organic pop girl born in the streaming era, she will have plenty of longevity. I remember many saying that about Lorde? What is she doing now Gieko commercials?

Billie is very interesting in the sense she has entered the chart in per se 18-24 months that Lorde has in 8 years and to me, are extremely identical artists.
I theorize BE's record company has looked at the math and is betting on single after single to stay relevant during this very difficult time to promote artists. It's almost like 50 -70 years ago when it was common for artists to release like 8 singles a year. Opposed to just 7-10 years ago where 3-4 radio hits and you were good for almost 2,3 years.
Speaking of Lorde, it's amazing she is still relevant considering she really has only like 2 hits...dating back to 2013, that's forever ago! Eight years before that date and Evanescense and Nickelback were extremely relevant

How's this doing at radio? Is it gaining well? Itβs shaping up to reach βbad guyβ or βEIWβ levels of radio success at best. Certainly far more well received out of the gate than βmy futureβ.

This is blowing up on pop, unsurprisingly. Could be top 10 as early as tomorrow.

Since this debuted on Billboardβs AAA, Iβm guessing sheβs on the way to becoming a format regular even there in the long run.

I like Billie but in what f**king way is this AAA How does she keep charting here with her Tim Burton lite pop Her Thom Yorke-inspired material ("everything i wanted", "my future") actually can fit on AAA. I have a feeling those songs getting some mild attention on AAA paved the way for "Therefore I Am" though, unfortunately.

A reminder that Bad Guy charted before those. And this is also KINK Portland's fault. I've bashed on this station many times before, so this isn't new, but if you look at their playlist (see below), you can't recognize it as an AAA based on their currents. It is an Alt/HAC hybrid. Not an AAA. WXRV is also playing this (they play alt songs heavily because their city doesn't have an alt), but they have more of a case of being an AAA than the one playing Panic! At the Disco, Fall Out Boy and JP Saxe. WWCT is just as bad (in fact I would say they are worse because they're the only one yet to touch the new Fleet Foxes. They're that resistant to AAA exclusives on the indie side. And that is even if they dropped Lewis Capaldi a long time ago) but they haven't touched any of her songs too. onlineradiobox.com/us/kink/playlist/
