Another year comes to close, another top 50 from me. 

Basic rules to keep in mind, just like every year from 2020-onward. 

1. One song + one feature permitted per artist. I do have a rock/alternative lean, but all genres are eligible. 

2. Eligibility period is Thanksgiving 2022-Thanksgiving 2023. December 2022 songs, therefore, do sneak their way onto this list, while December 2023 songs will have to wait until next year. 

3. Singles from albums released in 2022 or 2024 are eligible if released in the relevant time period. However, they may not receive the same priority as in-year songs do. 

4. Archival recordings are not permitted unless they are a total re-record (hence, "Lost" by Linkin Park is not eligible but "Say Yes To Heaven" by Lana Del Rey is). 

5. This is not my most played songs of the year list.

Edited the list because I decided the catchiness of a specific song from an artist's almost certainly final record (and thus trying to go out on top) mattered. Making something that is such a total earworm, even if it doesn't re-invent the wheel, is still worth a lot of points in my book.
