Has he even had a debut single from an album make the top 10?

Great choice! I like slow song for Church in general. Not that crazy about this song, but still the best song from upcoming album for sure, and very happy that Stick That In Your Country Song is done, could not stand it!!!

"Love Your Love The Most" from Carolina peaked at #10, and that's the only one.

I see this getting the album out getting out sometime in early 2021, and returning Eric to the top 20 and beyond, maybe #1 even. Much better song for radio and already doing well in sales and streaming.

I like this song fine, but I wish they'd gone with Crazyland instead

I really respect Eric and his team for not pushing songs to death that struggle at radio, its really refreshing, i wish more artists and their labels would do the same. I get it for newer artists that kinda have to, but i blame radio themselves more for that, the artists are kinda forced into it these days.
Anyways, this is a great choice, much better than STIYCS. Looking forward to the album as well.

Great news. I adore this one and think it’s very radio friendly. Can’t wait to start hearing it.

He continues his predictable cycle of releasing a terrible off-the-wall lead single that I can't get into at all, followed by a much safer albeit rather middle-of-the-road but still better second single that I can at least tolerate. Currently more excited that they put "Stick That" out to pasture and are moving on from it than I am about this single going to radio, but I don't mind it. So much of his music just sounds so samey to me though and this just feels like another one of his pleasant midtempos that he's already done several times better before.

I feel like we've heard this same song from him a million times now... sadly he's become an artist that I find a few gems from every now and then, but overall dislike his material.

Oh I love this one. Eric Church seems to be able to do no wrong with me. He's one of the most refreshing voices in country music, particularly from the male side of the genre. The format of his rollouts could stand to get a little shaken up next time, but the music itself is all just so great imo. Based on what I've heard I think I'd have to go "Crazyland" = "Hell Of A View" > "Stick That"

This reminds me of his songs like Springsteen, Record Year and Talladega. Should be another #1 for him.

I actually prefer STIYCS, because to me this seems like Eric just being lazy. There hasn't been anything that has really captured my attention yet off this upcoming album, but his worst is still better than a majority of the songs on radio.

I like this song fine, but I wish they'd gone with Crazyland instead Solid song.. Even for Eric, "crazyland" is way over the top of the heads of your average p1 country listener. MR

This is pretty decent, but I agree with others who have stated that I much prefer "Crazyland", and wish he had gone for that one instead. As expected, "Stick That..." is plummeting now.

This is easily better than anything off his last album, and it’s really connecting with me in a big way. Really strong melody, similar to some of his best songs. My only complaint with this choice is it follows the same tried pattern from it where he releases an upbeat flop only to them send out the safe radio friendly mid tempo single. He really needs to mix it up one of these album eras. But this one is going to be one of my favorite Church songs, so I’m all for it smashing at radio.

Pretty much every lead single he has released, despite, "flopping," is a huge favorite during his concerts. Eric doesn't need radio and the strategy seems to be working well for him. I doubt he changes it any time soon. Agreed with you about how great this song is too. One of my favorite Church songs.

I get what you're saying with the bold part, but he still cares enough about radio that there's a consistent trend of releasing a safer radio-friendly single following each of his off-the-wall lead singles that underperform. He uses the lead single momentum on something that doesn't really play to what radio wants to give it maximum exposure, but the singles that follow do suggest an interest in keeping country radio happy. I'm not much of an Eric Church fan as it is, but his release cycle to me is rather stale as I always find myself hating the lead and then all of his 'safe' songs for radio just blend together for me.

Stick That sounds like a the ultimate intro song at his shows, this one feels like a big hit, and l firmly believe “Never Break Heart” will be his biggest hit since Springsteen, based off the snippet I heard. Hopefully this damn album can come out soon 😂

“Hell of a View” will see a jump on Country Airplay next week just like “Whiskey and Rain” and “Memory I Don’t Mess With” had last week and this week. This is Entercom's version of an iHeart hourly deal. Not quite as strong since there aren't as many big time Entercom country stations as iHeart ones, but still enough to make a big enough chart jump.

I think this is about to become one of Eric's biggest radio hits since "Record Year" that'll still match both "Round Here Buzz" and "Some of It" in comparison to overall airplay/sales. Much congrats to The Chief tonight!
