Sounds just like God is a Woman. Would have hoped for something fresher in a lead single. I do not hear GIAW at all, you sure you listening to the right song? GIAW definitely did not have a guitar present in the production and this isn't trap influenced like GIAW either |

The song is absolutely boring, and by far her most uninteresting lead single to date.
The video, however, conceptually, is great.

I feel like we're back to the easy-listening era of the early 8os and early 90s and even early 2000s with all these boring milquetoast pop songs that get big and will be forgotten in like six months.
Again, so much good pop music came out this year and the most boring are getting the big streams and sales

Minus “My Everything”, she’s currently peaking in an era where the Hot 100 is literally skewed to Hot 100 number-one debuts more than ever, an accomplishment of which has lost its merit, in my opinion, especially when you have several songs bulldozing out of the top 15-30 the following week. Travis Scott has three number-one debuts and that’s already 3 of his four number-one songs. If it weren’t for “Zeze” and “SICKO MODE” he’d already have five, a feat. he’ll reach by next year. 🤷🏿♂️ |

Positions isn’t bad. It’s catchy but I expected a lot more. Underwhelming. Sound like an album filler or something. Her worst lead single to date 😐

It's not bad. I'd've preffered something with a little more substance as lead, but it's cute. I'd say it's better than Problem, but worse than The Way, Dangerous Woman, ntltc, or tun. But I'm also an Ariana stan, so that still's pretty good for me. Just hope this ends up a Heartless/Blinding Lights situation.

Khalid tends to do it as well. I never understand what he's saying until I pull lyrics up. |

" Scooter is just plain weird. the song came out on the 1 year anniversary of LYTLM and he's liking shady tweets about Selena on a day that is special to her (by no means am i saying it was shady to release the song on the anniversary of LYTLM i'm just saying that he should atleast show the decency not to be shady to her). |

Positions is going to have a huge debut, 3 (possible) #1 debuts for ponytail this year, crazy. And she will most likely extend her record of having all her lead singles (6 already!) to debut in the top ten which is a cool little record.

damn ariana will be blocked probably I remember when Megan Thee Stallion was first starting to get big, and people were discussing her success by just calling her Megan. I remember just being confused cause I thought they were discussing Meghan Trainor. WAP remix when? Also Positions is like lead painted walls, ya it’s pretty close to wallpaper, but hey it’s sweet enough to stand out and is pretty addicting. |
