Given that Eminem has had a small history on Alternative, including several Top 20 appearances, it wouldn't suprise me one bit to see "My Band" also chart across formats.
Will it be released, and if so, where will it peak?
My Prediction: #19
Sincerely, Noah Eaton

I hope not. Plus it basically trashes the idea of alternative bands.

I don't think this one will cross over much. D12 sounds too Urban to hit big on Alternative. Some stations will have success with this, but it will be ignored by most of the panel. How does this song trash the idea of alternative bands though? If anything, it just trashes the idea of pretentious lead singers who think they're better than everyone else. Oh... well, I guess that does trash a few alternative bands.

It could cross over, but I wouldn't go so high on my prediction. It could make anywhere between 55 and 50, but I don't think it'll get much higher than that.

This song is sh** and I hope it misses the Alt chart.
Why does posse material always suck?

This song is sh** and I hope it misses the Alt chart. Why does posse material always suck? I'm glad I'm not the only one that thinks this song is trash. I literally don't "get it". What am I missing? I have no idea why a station would agree to play this.

There are always the Detroit's who will play it because of Eminem, and then there's the NY / LA alternative stations who play it to, I don't know, seem ghetto for lack of a better word. WXRK was a big supporter of "Lose Yourself". Hopefully that mentality of adding rap songs to an alternative playlist has changed with them.

I heard the song and saw the video, and frankly I'm not fond of either. Eminem's voice is so whiny, nasal, and overall annoying, like what he did in "Without Me" at the end when he yelled "Kids!", only its much more painful when he does it for more than ten seconds. Sadly, this song will likely do well, and my ears will be bleeding when it comes onto the radio.
My Prediction: #15
