Exactly even the bad songs from 1995 are better than 90% of the BS from the last 10 years where you don't even have to be able to sing just some Otto Tune, loud ass noises & repeated beats to have a hit & for the females have a video where you're half naked or acting like a slut in it.

You all know d@mn well the 2010's music will be LONG forgotten. You'll be moved on to fart sounds, toilet flushes, & loud burps set to 1 minute repeating drum beats.

lol I do, but ok, I see what everyone's driving at, but it's still very subjective. It's interesting, I've never heard of 1995 been referred to before as a "golden year of music," not in the same way 1939 has been for film (Gone with the Wind, Wizard of Oz, Mr. Smith Goes to Washington, etc.) No, 1995 wasn't a golden year but the last 10 have been "brown-coiled" flush down the toilet years! You mad tho?

Funny how you call out women of the last 10 years for being half naked or "acting like a slut" in videos when rock musicians have been sexualizing and treating women like sex objects since the dawn of the rock era and you're seemingly okay with that. It's almost as if your issue isn't with what you want us to think it is.

If you are so critical of current music and dismiss it as 'gratuitous auto-tune and repetitive production', why are you frequenting these Hot 100 threads? You do know there is a Nostalgia section on this forum if you want to rave about the 'good old days', right?

Well I'm older and I agree a lot of the music today does stink. It's pretty bad and I like new music (Top40/rhythmic) but it is getting worse. However my Mother said this to me before..... Everything changes and in another 25 years songs will be longer again and there may be an instrument and a real vocalist thrown in.

Music always changes and evolves, regardless you should always be able to find plenty of new music that you do like (especially in the internet age).
The minute you start deciding sounds/genres/trends "aren't for you" is the minute you began to get stuck in the past and favor less and less music of today (this is probably what's happening with all the early 2010s pop fanatics who got disgusted as soon as trap/rhythmic sounding songs invaded streaming lol).
It's also what happens when you stick to listening to the artists you grew up with and they eventually become out of the current mainstream roster more and more.

We all get older and move out of the demographic intended for most popular music. It doesn't mean today's music sucks.

Oh wow just listened to Dakiti for the first time and yikes at me missing out on such a bop, I rarely use Latin music (despite me loving the language) because it often sounds same-y to me but that's a jam (definitely better than Hawai oop)

Four songs debut following his Nov. 6 death.
Late Chicago drill rapper King Von posthumously charts four songs on the latest Billboard Hot 100 chart (dated Nov. 21). The songs mark his first ever to make the ranking.
King Von (born Dayvon Bennett) died at age 26 after being shot in a brawl outside an Atlanta nightclub on Nov. 6. As tributes poured in online, sales and streams for his catalog surged.
His track "Took Her to the O," from his mixtape Levon James, released in March, debuts the highest of his four Hot 100 entries at No. 47, as it collected 11.9 million U.S. streams (up 258%) and sold 1,000 downloads (up 502%) in the tracking week ending Nov. 12, according to Nielsen Music/MRC Data.
"The Code," featuring Polo G, which appears on Von's first full-length studio album Welcome to O'Block, released Oct. 30, follows at No. 66 on the Hot 100, with 8.4 million U.S. streams (up 79%) and 1,000 sold (up 105%).
Here's a recap of all four of King Von's entries on the latest Hot 100:
Rank, Title (streams & sales totals/gains) No. 47, "Took Her to the O" (up 258% in streams to 11.9 million; 502% in sales to 1,000) No. 66, "The Code," feat. Polo G (up 79% in streams to 8.4 million; 105% in sales to 1,000) No. 77, "All These N**gas," feat. Lil Durk (up 167% in streams to 8.1 million) No. 81, "Crazy Story 2.0," feat. Lil Durk (up 286% in streams to 7.1 million; 1,071% in sales to 1,000)
King Von concurrently charts three titles on the latest Billboard 200 albums chart. Welcome to O'Block rises 13-5 in its second week on the survey with 44,000 equivalent album units (up 69%). It debuted on the chart a week earlier with 26,000 units.
Plus, Levon James re-enters the Billboard 200 at No. 39, a new peak (15,000 units, up 287%) and Grandson, Vol. 1 returns at No. 52, also a new peak (13,000 units, 338%).
