wait tay you sent dancing queen why did you think that you werent gonna make it i genuinely dont know anyone that dislikes dancing queen (and if anyone does theyre a coward who hates fun) For the record, im a disliker of Dancing Queen but not because it's a bad song, namely 1) ABBA has better songs in their catalog and 2) Overplay. I still crack a big smile everytime it plays though, i mean you can NOT not be happy

Second person from Sambalada's group to enter the competition is...{Spoiler}NICK PERKINS! The Beach Boys - "Wouldn't It Be Nice"
Second person from Fearless's group to enter the competition is...{Spoiler}SLAYER! Billie Eilish - "everything i wanted"
Not only is it my favorite Billie Eilish song, itβs one of my favorite hits of this year. I relate to the lyrics a lot and Billieβs delivery is very convincing too.
Second person from Matt's group to enter the competition is...{Spoiler}WALT91! Kate Bush - "Running Up That Hill (A Deal With God)"
Possibly one of the most note-perfect pop songs ever written, except of course the quirky vocals. Does she think she is trying to be cute ????????
Second person from Violet's group to enter the competition is...{Spoiler}WRIP! Alvvays - "In Undertow"
Second person from Willapted's group to enter the competition is...{Spoiler}HAMED! Bjork - "Hyperballad"
My favourite BjΓΆrk song, everything here is quite astonishing. If I had to pick a favourite part of Hyperballad, it would probably be its vocal performance which is one of the best on any song I've heard.

The last person from Willapted's group to enter the competition is...{Spoiler}ZEDD! CHVRCHES - "The Mother We Share"
Which means I have to say sorry for these following people for not making the official cast...{Spoiler}ANTHONY Common - "I Used To Love H.E.R."
------------
ROSE/MAX Taylor Swift - "Cornelia Street"
------------
FIRE LIVVIA - "Beautiful Escape"
{Spoiler}Kendrick Lamar - These Walls I don't know if music can be truly 'perfect', but this is about as close as you'll get. 10/10
BjΓΆrk - Hyperballad My favourite BjΓΆrk song, everything here is quite astonishing. If I had to pick a favourite part of Hyperballad, it would probably be its vocal performance which is one of the best on any song I've heard. 9.7/10
CHVRCHES - The Mother We Share They might've come close 1 or 2 times, but I don't think CHVRCHES have ever reached (or will ever reach) the magical heights of this song again. 9.5/10
COngratulations matteeeb for being the 11th member of the cast! Cast:1. taylor 2. .indulgecountry 3. BBπ 4. jamesflame 5. MoD 6. Nick P 7. @slayer69 8. walt91 9. wrip 10. @mirza 11. matteeeb Judges: 1. Sambalada 2. fearlessarrow 3. @matthewlam 4. @chroniclea 5. willapted33

I knew as soon as I saw my song was in willapted's group, I was out. :( With a song that was foolproof probably if it were in literally anyone else's group :( Now I'm sad.

Tragic but that group was so stacked, Cornelia Street is a fantastic song though Also damn I thought I Used To Know H.E.R. would pull through, I'm actually surprised about that

The last person from Matt's group to enter the competition is...{Spoiler}SHRUGGIE! Lana Del Rey - "the greatest"
This song first hit back in the winter when life was good, as I would stare out at the beaches at night while on vacation and listen to this track. It was still an incredible song, no doubt, but I think my appreciation and i guess, love, for it, sprang forth once our current period of isolation hit and I was left, along with the rest of the world, on the outside of the world that we once knew and i began to appreciate this song's meaning even more. With passages like "We didn't know that we had it all, But nobody warns you before the fall" and "I guess I'm signing off after all," Lana's somber yet powerful vocal performances, and some of the stunning instrumental arrangements on here coupled with the guitar solo, this quickly became one of my favorite songs of the decade. ong
Which means I have to say sorry for these following people for not making the official cast...{Spoiler}ADRIAN C. The Cure - "Fascination Street"
Disintegration is also one of my favorite albums so this one hurts even more than leaving out Taylor. That bassline is just endlessly addicting from the moment it kicks in, and the backing production is enough to make the track engaging before Robert Smith even starts singing. And once he does, well, it turns into an absolutely stunning piece of music. Fuck this set man
------------
MYLO Taylor Swift - "State Of Grace"
It kills me to leave out this song but among a group of songs where several had already solidified themselves as some of my all-time favorites, it was going to be difficult for it to measure up. That being said, this is a nearly flawless pop song. With the hard-hitting drums, the killer guitar line that wouldn't be out of place in like, a U2 song, and Taylor's soaring melodies in the chorus, it's hard not to get a sense of euphoria when this song comes on. Quite possibly the best song she's ever made im not gonna lie
------------
LEO H.E.R. - "Hard Place"
This is a pretty pleasant, breezy acoustic pop/r&b track but not a ton more; while H.E.R. clearly has an impressive voice, it's not shown off a ton in these pretty lackluster melodies and overall I think this one runs a bit too long for its own good. The main metaphor is fine, but I think she relies on it too much and overall doesn't end up saying much of anything. Still absolutely not a bad song, but it couldn't hold up in comparison to the rest of this group.
{Spoiler} {Spoiler}The Blacker The Berry: You just can't beat out kung fu kenny when he's at his most aggressive, spitting some of his best flows over a hard-hitting beat while waxing poetic about black America and his status as an artist speaking on the current social climate, and that's exactly what the :goat: brings here. TPAB as a whole has of course been praised to death, but it's been done so for a reason; few albums are as consistent, cohesive in their themes, catchy, and topical as this one and this is my personal favorite off the whole thing. The final line still gives me chills to this day as well (10)
Running Up That Hill: Possibly one of the most note-perfect pop songs ever written, except of course the quirky vocals. Does she think she is trying to be cute ???????? (10)
