^It's 94% Building. I have no idea why they did this instead of writing a top 10 article. Anyway, those preliminary charts tend to favor albums with pure sales.

Those examples are honestly full of mess too. Eminem has zero old studio albums charting currently, because Curtain Call is getting all the streams. Apple Music's album chart: 380 +1 Eminem - The Eminem Show 478 -8 Eminem - The Marshall Mathers LP 984 +49 Eminem - Curtain Call - The Hits (Deluxe Version) Yet people are clearly going to The Eminem Show to stream "Without Me" and Marshall Mathers LP to stream "The Real Slim Shady". These albums have lost years of charting due to consistently being awarded 0 streams for their singles. The Eminem Show used to consistently outchart Curtain Call prior to SPS, but now it mostly misses the chart altogether. Also, how does this work in regards to calculating total units? How exactly do you know how much Queen's Greatest Hits & Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody (Soundtrack Compilation) have done total in the streaming era when they are filled with same songs that just get limbo'd between albums every few weeks? I'm not sure how they'll handle certifications for total units. It is a mess. For some cases it's very clear where people prefer compilations (like Marley's Legend) or the original album (Nirvana's Nevermind ) but it gets murky for lots of other acts, especially those with multiple popular GH sets (like Queen or the Eagles). It was clearly not accurate during the post 'Bohemian Rhapsody' movie blitz where the various comps yo-yoed wildly up and down each week. I don't think eliminating GH sets completely is the way to go but I'm not sure what the fix is. You would think they could track precisely which album songs were streamed from each week and assign points accordingly.

Record labels chose to which album the streams/song sales go to at the time of certification. example:
Studio album released in 2010. Greatest Hits released in 2015 (with some songs from the 2010 album). Both have never been certified. It is 2020. The streams from 2010-2014 go toward the studio album. The streams 2015-2020 can go to either the studio album or the greatest hit, the label choses the option when applying for certification. The song sales/streams can only count for 1 album ofc.
For Billboard it is hard, they have to decide on their own. I just want consistency weather they chose the songs to only count for greatest hits or the songs to only count for studio albums. I don't want what is happening with Queen & Eminem one week song streams go to one album the next week to another. Although if i had to chose they should go with the second option (studio albums).
The rule:

AC/DC for the win- and by a comfortable margin.
I gather Ms. Parton's album was part of the Walmart vinyl sale?

Nice for AC/DC! That's pretty good for an irrelevant genre.

Carrie is almost back in the top 20. Michael Buble continues to have the favorite modern Christmas album.

Chris Stapleton keeps having high SPS for non #1 albums...He could have 4 #1 albums if he chose less competitive weeks to release.

Lol at the midweek deluxe not helping Future & Uzi. (Well, technically it did as they would've been #3 without it)
