YES YES YES. I'm hoping this will be a smash heading into the warmer months of 2021.

This is a jam.
I hope it also means that since he didn't go for his duet w/ Lauren that it paves the way for "Getting Over Him" to be a single for her now.

RIP "Don't Blame It On The Whiskey". This song is pretty radio friendly but damn it I wanted the Lauren Alaina duet.

This one definitely screamed single when album first came out. I could see it being a little polarizing though, so hopefully it tests well, because on the other hand I could see it being a popular summer hit. It definitely has personality and I expect it to stream better than his last 2 songs, has more of a “hip” feel to it.

Absolutely amazing, best choice!!!!!! Cannot be happier with this!!!!! The fact that this may peak around the next summer if it goes well is also cool, considering its summery vibe.
I was extremely disappointed that Shallow has just entered the Airplay Chart, but at least there is a good news!

He and Little Big Town bring the horns back in country music lol I think it will be slightly polarizing for radio because of that, but it's probably one of the funniest moment in his tour if it resumes.

This song should do well for him but I can't say I think it's an exciting single choice when songs like "Don't Blame it on Whiskey" are left sitting on the album

I love Don’t Blame It On Whiskey but I don’t think that it would be a hit on today’s country radio. It’s sounds like a song that should’ve been on radio back in the 80’s or early 90’s. Tequila Little Time is a great choice for the next single in my opinion. If he goes for a fourth single I’d go with Nobody Leaves A Girl Like That. If you guys want a duet with Lauren that would do well on today’s country radio I’d go with Thinking About You on Dustin Lynch’s album. Actually I could see it being the 4th single from Dustin’s album.

Yay about this choice! I love this song (especially the horns section)...

It’s definitely catchy, but... I think this is going to take some time for me to really get into it lol. This song definitely isn’t immediate to me, but I hear potential because it is so catchy.

Jimmy Buffett released his single first. This song screams a Jimmy Buffett vibes to it. We might see a remixed with Jimmy on it. This song is the old sound of the 70s when Buffett had big hits.

Well at least Lauren gets to (hopefully) release "Getting Over Him" now. That has potential to FINALLY bring her back some huge momentum and get her another huge hit.
As for this, it's okay but feels a little like radio filler to me. Because of those horns I smell polarization on callout scores and whatnot. But you know what was sitting right there? "Nobody Leaves a Girl Like That." I'm so sorry sweetie. Really hope that one gets picked next.

This sounds like something we’ll be hearing a whole lot of in 2021

So I’m guessing Ain’t Always The Cowboy is done? I just realized it had a huge audience gain in high usually indicates a push week for a song. I was really hoping it would reach #1.

The push week was last week. There were ads in Country Aircheck's country update and daily emails. Label scheduled its push week a while back because the plan was to be off of it before Christmas.

Just sent to country radio. No cover art, which is usual for a non-lead UMG single.
Impacts January 19th. The 18th is Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

Third most added song with 29 stations and 30 total stations on add week. Not bad for a third album single and the competition of Tim McGraw/Tyler Hubbard and Blake Shelton this week.

Unrelated to "Tequila Little Time," but songwriter Billy Montana just released a cool version of "Night Shift" today.

Music Video out now. This is definitely a cute video that matches the vibe of the song.

Watching the video was only my second time hearing the song and I just got the 'tequila little time' word play Jon Pardi could be my bartender any day lol! He was being so precious in that video. As far as the song itself goes, I... like it fine, but I'm also not in love with it or anything. It's cute. Nothing more, nothing less.

Won't be shocked if this only peaks in the Top 10/5 on the charts and falls short of #1 on both Mediabase and Billboard. On the Mediabase Callout Score this has the lowest Positive score, and the highest negative score at 21.3 and I still remember sabre14 saying anything over 20% is very bad and will stall a song out pretty soon. That and this song was the only song to lose it's bullet on Mediabase this past Sunday.

This song is definitely treading water. I'd say cut it loose and switch focus on getting the Lauren Alaina duet into the top 20 in the new year and then drop a brand new lead single maybe around like March or April. "Tequila Little Time" has burned on me bad. It's clever... but after 20 listens, it's just not charming anymore.
