The only new release that I'm looking forward to is a new formula for the charts that strongly favours streaming and reduces the power of sales.

I wouldnt mind Ed Sheeran coming back to his roots and releasing his folklore... but if he's about to hop on the disco throwback trend and release a club banger i'm gonna scream even something like castle on the hill would be nice... they released two singles to gauge reactions and i was disappointed shape of you did so so much better

So impressed at RATCT still doing better then AIWFCIY on Spotify. But not only that, it's the fact that some of the other christmas songs aren't that far behind it either.

Eminem has only 2 songs inside Spotify us charts, by the looks of it, even 70k might be a reach.
Is there any chance Gnat gonna debut on hot100? TOTC predicted yesterday that it might @ bottom half.
Kid laroi's without you is turning out to be a streaming juggernaut if radio matches it in coming days it might turn out to be a top 10 hit 😬

It's not a bad song but I don't see it being a Shape of You, Perfect or even Thinking Out Loud but hey, stranger things has happened.

The highs of the Divide era are usually only achieved once in your career so I'm gonna say it's gonna be a big hit but not THAT big.
It's kinda smart to release it now. People that aren't fans of Xmas music are starving, unless they're still lost in the woods with Taylor.

People that aren't fans of Xmas music are starving, unless they're still lost in the woods with Taylor. I think he will have a ‘perfect’ sized single with his next album. This might do well but who knows. His lead single will guarantee smash though.

Afterglow is almost a Christmas song itself though with several references to winter.

Since the Top 10 is all Christmas songs at this point, I figure there's no point in doing the Top 10 alongside non-holiday music. The numbers in the brackets for the Top 10 are the actual positions of the songs.

Below 800k for the number one non-XMAS song on Spotify is sad. I wonder if this trend will continue throughout 2021.

An all-Christmas top 5...it was bound to happen someday.
Here's to me hoping "Last Christmas" and/or "The Christmas Song" manage to sneak into the top 10. Both currently have a #11 peak.

I forgot Ed Sheeran released today, wow.
It's pretty weak, sounds like an album track. Is this actually getting push like an album single? Or is this some one-off?
Edit: According to his Instagram it's a Christmas gift and specifically not an album related single.

this week will be another record breaking week: - Mariah, first artist to have a song topping Hot 100 in 3 different years - Mariah, Xmas song with the most weeks at no.1 - All Xmas songs on Top 5 - Most Xmas songs on Top 10 Hot 100 (at most probably 8 Xmas songs, Mood and Positions will definitely stay) - Taylor, biggest drop from no.1 (predicted to fall from 1 - 36) - If Wham hits top 10: * among the biggest span from first top 10 to the most recent top 10 for a group What group holds the record? * among the longest wait for a top 10 after last top 10 for a group What group holds the record?
