Female country singer K.T. Oslin has passed away. She is known for her hits “80’s Ladies”, “Do Ya”, “I’ll Always Come Back, “Hold Me”, “Hey Bobby” and her final #1 hit “Come Next Monday”. She had a great voice and will go down as one of my top 10 favorite female singers in country music.

A legendary song that launched a legendary career (albeit ever so brief). R.I.P. K.T. Oslin:

RIP She was my musical hero. I already posted my detailed thoughts in the news thread. It just doesn't feel real.

KT was someone that would never be allowed in Nashville today - an unabashed, distinctive original.
I have always wondered about the following regarding KT:
* Why was "Two Hearts" released? The cassingle version was from the "'80s Ladies" album which by then was a three year old album succeeded by another album, "This Woman," and all of its singles. (And, to complicate this further, the song was re-recorded for her next album, "Love In A Small Town," which was released along with its lead single, "Come Next Monday," just a few months after "Two Hearts.")
* Why did KT re-record "Hold Me?" Is the original version featured on any of her compilations? It seems that once the re-recording was released, the original Grammy winning hit version was difficult to find anymore as the re-recorded version appeared on all subsequent albums.
* I only heard "You Call Everybody Darling" once on the radio, but it excluded the spoken intro and outro. Was this version ever released on CD?

I misread the question but dawhite76 you can buy all 3 of her studio albums on Amazon for $13.59. If you want the original version of “Hold Me”. I was able to find all 3 of them separately in record stores.

If the times on Amazon can be trusted for the streaming versions of her compilations, it looks like "Super Hits" has the original version of "Hold Me" (4:40 vs. 5:05). In addition to "Songs From An Aging Sex Bomb," the "RCA Country Legends" compilation also has the re-recorded version.
I always wondered why KT re-recorded "Hold Me." Considering its critical and commercial success, there was no need for an update!

I was not familiar with K.T. before her death. I have become somewhat obsessed since though. Wow! What an interesting career with some spectacular music!
