I'm not going to hold my breath, but it looks like a few alternative radio stations are going to pick it up. I believe it will chart, but is alternative radio, even in a slightly more excepting state, ready for Morissey?
I haven't heard it yet, but I'm damn interested, especially if radio stations are willing to start adding it.

I heard it last night. I've only heard just a couple Morrissey tracks, but other than Morrissey's distinct vocals, the song sounds completely different. It's like they've gotten with the times and gone with a more modern sound. That's probably what they had to do to be played on the radio, and so far, it seems like it's working out alright.

If I wanted to be played on the radio, I would never sign with Sanctuary, looking at what they've done to Ministry and Gravity Kills in the past, with high-potential albums.
This means Morrissey has a true success. He's got one of the best singles out right now, especially since it's been ten years since modern rock has open its arms to one of his singles. I think Lollapalooza is also helping him. This song is going to explode on my chart.

I was going to start a topic about this not even realizing that it was made two weeks earlier.
I really like this song. The music and his vocals really come together. Same goes for the lyrics, though I haven't paid much attention to them, other than knowing he mentions a couple English political parties and Oliver Cromwell.
Did "The More You Ignore Me..." sound 80s-ish or did it sound different too?
