On AT40 this week, we took a look at the 40 biggest hits of 2020!
This year is majority about the COVID pandemic which inspired songs (sad, uplifting or silly) like Alicia Keys' "Underdog", twenty one pilots' "Level Of Concern" and Avenue Beat's "F2020" and messages on the show by artist like Selena Gomez, Dan Reynolds of Imagine Dragons, DJ Khaled (those three that was used the same message the most during it), etc
The highest debut of the year going to "Yummy" by Justin Bieber which debuted at #21 but peaked outside the top 10 at #12 and fell out after only 6 weeks
The biggest mover of 2020 belongs Halsey's "You should be sad". She moved up 15 from #39 to #24 back on February 8th... But it also was the biggest exit of the year as it left AT40 from #14 after 13 weeks spent on May 2nd (peaking at #13), tying the biggest dropoff in the Seacrest era with "IDGAF", "Motivation" and "In My Feelings"
The slowest song to reach the top this year was Lewis Capaldi's "Before You Go" as it took 35 weeks (An AT40 record), previous record holder was benny blanco, Halsey and Khalid with "Eastside" last year when it took 33 weeks to get to #1
