Does that Walmart still carry alot of CD's? The ones up here have cut back. one has a decent amount and another has maybe 30 total. And it's bullsh!t that in stores it's half price. I've had it in the cart online for weeks, and with shipping and taxes it's $25.

A lot of them are the same albums though at every store with the occasional new releases. Usually at my local Walmart especially I have to wait the week after to get a new release. I didn’t find the new Lady A on CD until today. I still have yet to find the new Cody Johnson on CD anywhere. Even in the record stores and hobby shops that are an hour away from me.

It just frustrates me since WalMart was the last store selling new releases at a reasonable price. There are record shops around but they are usually around $15.95 or more. I'm gonna go to a few WalMarts tomorrow and try to find it, although from what I've heard it does not have 1 on the songs it was supposed to. Does yours have 12 or 13 songs?

Eddie Montgomery - Ain't No Closing Me Down October 29th This album will be released everywhere on January 28th, 2022. You Pissed Me All the Way Off (Jim "Moose" Brown & Travis Meadows) is the new track 10 of the album, with the whole album having 13 tracks now. It just frustrates me since WalMart was the last store selling new releases at a reasonable price. There are record shops around but they are usually around $15.95 or more. I'm guessing it's missing the track I quoted above then.

I'm guessing it's missing the track I quoted above then. Yes it’s that track. Following up I did go to 2 WalMarts with no luck. Considering they had all te recent releases like Toby and Reba I was disappointed, of course realizing they're bigger names. I checked online when i got home and looked at every store in the Twin Cities and none of them have it at all. So I emailed them asking why i have to pay almost $30 including taxes and shipping, when it's not my fault they don't have it in a single store here when it's $9.97 in stores.

Did you ask any employees if they were in the back and simply hadn't been put out yet? Because that has happened to me every time I have tried to buy a cd for the last couple years, even with Reba's new cd last month. It's like these stores don't actually have anybody designated to pay attention to music release dates anymore, and they will literally just not put out new cds when they get them

It's like these stores don't actually have anybody designated to pay attention to music release dates anymore, and they will literally just not put out new cds when they get them I did at both stores and they checked and did not have it. What has happened at WalMart in te past for me is that the associates are not allowed to stock the cd's it is the distributor that comes in and does it. I specifically remember one time when Tuesday was the release day and the new Rascal Flatts came out. I had an email from WalMart specifically for the release to be available at 8 AM. So I went to a now gone location and the associates fought me tooth and nail about putting ot out. It took me three managers to get one to ho get one for me. That is how I found out that it was the distributor who had to put them out. Not sure if it's that way anymore but if a distributor is responsible for several stores in an area no way can you guarantee something like that day. And like I said above every store in the Twins Cities shows online it is not available at the store.

They’re usually on top of things and even had the sticker with the price displayed on the shelf where her CDs would’ve been, but for some reason they hadn’t put them out yet. Granted it was like 9am and they had just opened not long ago, but still. They had them, they just hadn’t brought them out yet.

I have stopped buying CDs at Wal Mart. They don’t have anything, their new release section is all top 40. I actually found Travis Tritts new album Set In Stone there, but that was about it

Well they had the new Toby, the new Reba (which Target never got in), and other recent releases. The only reason I'm looking for Eddie there is because they are the only place selling it right now.

The walmart I work at sucks horribly with cds. It's down to one little rack by the checkout, and it takes two or three weeks after release date to even have a chance at getting new albums in. None of the cds mentioned in the last few posts have made an appearance.

All the WalMarts here are different. One will have a couple hundred, then another will have maybe 50. Another will have an endcap somewhat full, sides of it with a few, and another section with a few hundred. They all should be the same. And more frustrating is not only are the no longer sorted by genre, they are no longer alphabetical, well at least nodody keeps them that way even though there are alphabet signs.

Adam Craig's own version of "Why Can't She" is a fantastic song and has been in my playlist for several years now. I am excited to hear how Joe Nichols tackles it because he has one of the better male voices in the country industry.

So is Joe Nichols' new album intended to be a covers album? Or is it just random that every song seems to be some obscure cover?

I’ll forgive the songs I don’t like if he chooses “Briefcase” as a single and gets Lori to chart 😛
