The week is ending with a fully-Pop song reaching #1 on Streaming, and a fully-R&B/Hip-Hop song reaching #1 on Radio. We are living in an alternate dimension compared to the past years.
If you said 1 year ago Young Thug or Chris Brown would reach #1 on overall radio as LEAD artist and a Disney star would reach #1 on streaming with a debut single lol.

If I'm not mistaken, this was a fairly common occurrence back in the 2000s - pop and rock songs would dominate the sales charts while hip-hop and R&B would dominate airplay. |

Now you know how I feel like all the time at the tail end of Gen X. I gotta ask now, how many people are Gen Z? I'm 21 (turning 22 on the 27th) The definitions I've heard range from '95 to '00. A few beyond that, but the concensus is either late 90s or the turn of the millenium. So it's 50/50 if you're one of us. |

OK I need to see it's streaming total for the week on all services. Maybe not Drake-big but certainly the biggest we've seen in a while. TOTC is estimating 75-80M streams for it's first week. For comparison, OTR had 140M in its peak though OTR had the benefit of having UGC streams counted. I think if TikTok and Youtube UGC was counted for Olivia, she would get a couple more streams I literally couldn't open TikTok without seeing 40 videos of Driver's License. I honestly feels like she would have done close or more than OTR this week if counted. |

I could see the lie lie lie song growing in streams. Not to the height that driver's license did, but it could hit a million imo
Also I'm shocked at how little Bad Boy did. I was certian that it would do at least 2 mil if not like 2,5

As much as I would love for Mid Laroi to only have one hit, given the push emo rap right now and his forced image as the next Juice WRLD I sadly don't think he's going away any time soon. |

Kid Laroi is now really popular in Australia. Without Drivers License debuting at #1 this week, Without You would have been #1 in the ARIA Singles chart. So Done is at #8 as well.
