Donβt think anyone has pointed this out yet, but tomorrow is MLK Day, a federal holiday in the US. Does this mean the chart reveal schedule gets pushed back a day? Yes. I really have no idea what's gonna be #1 though, I can't believe they're taking a day off. :kii:

Just heard on the news; legendary rock and roll producer and convicted murderer Phil Spector has died.
According to his daughter, he died from complications of Covid-19, which he was diagnosed with in December.
He died in the prison hospital where he was incarcerated. He was 81 years old.
During his time as a producer, he worked with too many artists to list, but some of the more notable ones are, the Ronettes, The Crystals, The Righteous Brothers, The Beatles, John Lennon and many, many others. He was most famous for his "wall of sound" recordings in the 1960's.
RIP.

"Not to mention The Ronette's Sleigh Ride was produced by him and was a song in the A Christmas Gift for You from Phil Spector album. Correct. Many people consider that entire Christmas album Phil Spector's masterpiece as far as his "wall of sound" recordings go. He also married the lead singer of the Ronettes, Roni Ronette, in the 60's, when inter-racial marriage was to say the least, very controversial. Regardless of what he did in his later life, he will always be remembered as one of the most legendary producers in pop music history.

'Sleigh Ride' gets all the exposure now but 'Be My Baby' was probably the bigger hit. A hit in the 60s as well as the 80s

The Ronette's "Be My Baby" peaked at #2, kept out of the #1 spot by Jimmy Gilmer & The Fireballs "Sugar Shack," which ultimately went on to be the biggest Billboard single of 1963. Yet today, there's little doubt which song is better remembered.

That's true, though Eddie Money's "Take Me Home Tonight" did help "Be My Baby" be remembered as well.

Wow Sean really took simping to a whole other level. He had a worse flop era just to make Caramel feel good about her flop era. Well nothing beats Caramello's flopping, he still got a #1 album and a top10 outside of Senorita, Canola tried tho with 6 singles on Today's Top Hits.

Be My Baby is widely believed to be the song Bob Seger was referring to in the line "started humming a song from 1962" in his 1977 Top 5 hit Night Moves.

"Be My Baby" is widely seen as one of the greatest songs of all-time (Brian Wilson has called it "the" greatest). Dirty Dancing helped bring it back in the 80s, of course. Camila Cabello's "Never Be the Same" uses the drum pattern from it, no?

Not radio dropping this song like a bad habit At this rate, it may fall out of the top 10 tomorrow. Good run, either way. Time for a new single, Drake.

Barack Obama term I the gp was bumping to Gaga's debut single Just Dance.
flash forward to Donald Trump inauguration it was Bad and Boujee.
Edit: was B&B a streaming fueled #1 hit because I recognize the 2-10 songs well but boujee not as much and the 2009 top 10, wow full of big pop hits overall, maybe nostalgia bias showing cuz I was in high school back then.
