Well, looks like everyone who kept saying to downweight radio got their wish, if only by a little.

I'm glad that Sza finally got her first top 10 song as lead artist.

I'm glad that Sza finally got her first top 10 song as lead artist. Technically, All the Stars has that title as she was a co-lead on that song, but it makes more sense for Good Days to hold that title.

^^Yes, you are correct. Make that finally have a top 10 song where she's the only credited artist.

Still can't understand why Go Crazy of all songs is #1 song on radio over 6 months after the release date.
SZA deserves!

Well, looks like everyone who kept saying to downweight radio got their wish, if only by a little. I mean, this is not the first time they've recalibrated radio this past year. They have done a few radio recalibrations last year that either increased or decreased the power of radio.

This is an early contender for the best top 10 of 2021.

So apparently we've got 25 debuts: 19 for Morgan Wallen, 2 for Jazmine Sullivan, Streets, Buss It, Best Friend, and of course drivers license

I just want to point out that Blinding Lights would have been #1 on Global 200 if Drivers License didn't exist The song peaked in March lol

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the Global 200 chart charted in July. In any case, Blinding Lights will be #1 on that chart by 2/20/2021.

Obviously Blinding Lights would have spent many weeks at #1 if it had started in February

Fun fact: Excluding Morgan Wallenβs album bomb, every debut this week was from women.

-Congrats to Olivia. That's a big feat starting the year off right.
-Chris and Thug really struck gold with "Go Crazy".
-So happy for SZA. I'm expecting another jump next week.
-Doja with 2 more entries. "Streets" is definitely going to jump next week. The label should do something. Why not?
-Jazmine got two more entires. I'm hoping they hold next week.
-"Buss It" really debuted sksksksksk.

Good Days blocked Lonely from top 10? Maybe Billboard snapped.

It's simply one of the biggest hits of all time

Good Days blocked Lonely from top 10? Maybe Billboard snapped. It's gonna get there soon, but we may have been spared two Bieber songs in the top ten at once! This is a downgrade tho for me personally because I don't mind Holy (except for the Chance verse) and haaaaaate Lonely. Dang.

I'll take another Top 10 for the Biebz. Album hasn't even been released and he would potentially have 3 Top 10s before it dropped.
Reminds me of the older 90's/00's when artists would drop 3 singles before dropping the album.

Timing for Chris Brown hitting #1 on radio is almost perfect.
Rihanna/Chris - Grammy's Feb 2009 three weeks after Obama/Biden enter office. Chris is king of radio week Biden will be inaugurated.

Still can't understand why Go Crazy of all songs is #1 song on radio over 6 months after the release date. SZA deserves! The same about Blinding Lights, these songs are alright, but do not deserve like a whole year on the top 10, I think it is the new reality about music business, not that these songs are that great. And the new reality is really bad for music business and especially for artists. I mean 45 weeks in top 10 for BL - this is beyond the insaneness...

This is an early contender for the best top 10 of 2021. well there's olivia for greatness. but then...the rest range from okay to bad. T5 components Radio: Crazy #5 Mood #2 Positions #3 Holy #7 Lights #4 [5/5] Sales: License #1 Lonely 12 Itβs Time to Go Lights #4 Right [2/5] Streaming: License #1 Days #10 Wasted #9 Mood #2 Problem 26 [4/5] Radio still dominant, sales still rock bottom.

Yeah for me it isn't even about the quality of "BL" or any other song, it's just wild for me to see any song hang around so long. I know that's just my personal view/preference, but I miss when there was more rotation and amount of hits. It doesn't have to be as much turnover as the 80s, but at least the 90s lol.
