How did that happen? The isn't even that old. What are the standards for Gold? 3.5 years?

I'm not sure what the standards are for Gold, but I don't think it has to do with years. There are songs still listed as current or recurrent that are older than some of the songs on gold.
I'd like to know exactly what the standards are. In particular, I'd like an explanation why Incubus' "Warning" (the third single from 2001's Morning View) is on the gold chart while "Wish You Were Here" and "Nice To Know You" (the first two singles) are still recurrents.
